The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and entirely comfortable. Breakfast, which included produce from local growers as well as coffee from a local roaster, was delicious and just right in terms of volume--an amuse-gueule to begin, and then a hearty main plate. Upon checking us in, the innkeeper asked right away for any dietary restrictions or issues, so although we had none, I'm confident they'd work to accommodate just about everything. I'd definitely return.

We spent our anniversary weekend with Kathleen and Troy at their wonderful B&B - Chestnut Hill. They are exceptional hosts - making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. The evening happy hours and yummy breakfasts were great. We recommend this lovely inn for that special celebration or just a get away weekend to enjoy the Charlottesville, VA area - history, wineries and more.

Very quaint and homey, we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. We really enjoyed having a late 9:30 breakfast after a run through the town of Scottsville. We did some hiking and seriously enjoyed the historical sights nearby. We enjoyed our niece's wedding at Mt. Ida Farms, this was within minutes from there. Everyone that worked there was very pleasant too.

The hotel is situated on a hill such that it can't be seen until you arrive at the front door. It's almost like driving up to your own mansion on the hill. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The view from our room was absolutely stunning. The blue ridge mountains in the background and picturesque farm in the foreground. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is the second time we've stayed here and we've enjoyed it both times. It may be a bit off the beaten track for some people, but it's convenient and on our route from NYC to Chapel Hill, NC so we like it. The roads nearby are very pleasant to drive on during the day, but a bit winding in the dark. It's a good location if you're interested in historical sites in this part of VA.
