Another hotel that we frequent for getaways in Ft. Lauderdale had recently changed from LGBT friendly to family friendly--and we prefer to support our own community.
My husband found this one quite by accident and reserved it for a short stay next February. Circumstances arose and we were able to take a trip this past weekend to do a test drive of the resort.
The staff, especially Andrew and Jaime are very friendly and accommodating. We had to wait for our room, but what a lovely space. We took a King Suite which had a large combined living-dining space with a door that gave us easy pool access. The bedroom was also a very decent size. The bathroom was small but adequate. There was also a full walk-in closet and a separate closet near the entryway. The space was easily a nice place for a stay of several weeks.
Only issue and this is something that you don't have control of was the thickness of the floors. We happened to have a group of heavy-heeled upstairs neighbors who made a good night's sleep an impossibility. That can happen anywhere you go.
There was a breakfast buffet available but only a limited amount of outdoor seating to enjoy your food...a few more tables would be nice I guess but overall the space, the plantings and the staff made for a wonderful long weekend. Thanks, guys!
