The hotel was situated in an awesome position- so much to see and do.
An additional benefit was the host's knowledge of the local area, including attractions and places to dine, was greatly appreciated!!
We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay as we ourselves will stay there again when next in the area.

"Idyllic family-run hotel in the stunning Bavarian forest"
This is a wonderful hotel and we wished we'd booked for longer! We had a family room which was very spacious and included a balcony. They have a fantastic play area outside, green grass for running around as well as an indoor kids play room. The internet access was free, the staff extremely helpful and welcoming. On the doorstep of the village is the amazing FREE wildlife park run by the national park and the views around the village are extremely picturesque. Beware that in the Bavarian Forest very few people speak English, even in tourist places such as local restaurants. But this hotel did have some English speaking staff which proved very helpful in getting information about local things to do where the brochures were German-only.

Great place to stay, beautiful part of Germany.
Hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast at 5.00 Euro was excellent value for money, boiled eggs waiting at 8.00am, nice fresh bread and a wide selection of meat / cheese.
The only slight problem we found was the curtains only just cover the windows so in the morning the sun light was bright and woke us.
Very comfortable beds and everything was clean and tidy.

I really can't fault this hotel for the price. The owners and staff are lovely, the room we stayed in was excellent, the free breakfast was huge, the wifi very cheap & works (!), the small town is beautiful, area gorgeous and the free indoor pool is new, large and empty (apart from us!). There is also a sauna if you fancy that too! A great place to stay. A real treat. Must be good because when we were there so was the German National ladies volleyball team!
