The Driftwood Resort in Ormond Beach was a pleasure to stay at. We booked 4 nights during Spring Break at a fairly reasonable price, and when we needed to stay another night, we were given the same price, even though the rate had went up considerably. The staff were all sweet and seemed to genuinely want to make you happy. The room was spotless, not a bug or stain in sight! Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. The WiFi connection was always strong, which is a must-have nowadays. The grounds are nicely kept, and the pool was crystal clear. There were always enough lounging chairs outside, and all of the gates around the pool/beach entrance were working properly, which is a MUST for safety! After dark, all of the corridors and outside areas were very well lit, and it seemed secure. I will say the Spring Break crowd there were pretty loud in the wee hours of the morning, but it was SPRING BREAK; I am sure it would have been a whole lot worse farther down A1A, into Daytona. The only drawback to this hotel was PARKING!! This is an issue at almost all beach-side hotels, but it seemed especially cramped to me.The hotel is located directly across the street from Pirates Cove mini golf, and within 3 mins of CVS, Publix, Burger King, IHop, etc. We will def stay there again!!
