This hotel is in an absolutely excellent location - After arriving in Rome and leaving my luggage in the hotel, I found my way to the Vatican within 20 minutes. As soon as you leave the road, you are either at the beautiful Castle Saint Angelo, or the Piazza Adriana - a beautiful spot for your morning cappuccino. In all honesty, this is not a 5 star hotel, it's economical and you get what you pay for. But if you are in Rome because you simply want to explore Rome, then this place is perfect. If you want luxury, then not so much. The staff are just lovely, and I felt very welcomed when I arrived. I can't recommend this place enough to be honest. Rome has been a dream of mine since I was little, and this sweet little hotel in it's wonderful location with it's lovely staff made the trip that bit sweeter.

I stayed in Consulta hotel for 2 nights with my mum and sister. The location is great as it's close to many attractions. Receptionist was very helpful and provided as with all the information we needed. Room was very clean and cosy however we stayed in 101 and we could hear noise from the street bit that was nothing that would bother us too much.

I've stayed here twice, both times for a single night before catching a flight, and I was very satisfied. The hotel is very clean and Paolo, the owner, went out of his way to help me. This hotel exceeded my expectations and I will definitely stay here again. The hotel can be a bit tricky to find, since the sign is not very big, so it's a good idea to check a map first. Also, be aware that the hotel is on the fourth floor (there is a very small lift) and that the wi-fi is unreliable in some areas. Payment is in cash.

I have no negative comments about the overall appearance, cleanliness, and comfort of the hotel. The room was ready when promised, it was inviting, modern, and had upscale fixtures in the bathroom. Even the marble floor outside the bathroom was heated. There was ample bath linens, a hair dryer, and even a magnifying mirror. I never turned the TV on, but it was a flatscreen of adequate size. The staff was excellent and helped with directions and setting up airport taxi service, The ONLY negative comment I have is that being in this central location, it was quite noisy at night. We had to open the window at night because it was unusually warm for the time we were there. Garbage trucks were operating at least until 12:30 am...I would recommend a room away from the street if available. Also the breakfast buffet was at a restaurant right outside the hotel building, and it was nothing less than FABULOUS, including meats, cheeses, fruits, pastries, breads, eggs, and choices of juice and coffees. The waiters were also excellent. Also the buffet time was adequate for early risers as well as late arrivers who wanted to sleep in a bit. Overall quality stay!

Nice staff, clean room, good air conditioning. Good location.
Small, but we expected that and didn't need anything more. We spent very little time in our room anyway.
Price was a little higher than I would have liked but overall we were very happy with our experience and would go back to the Opera Hotel again.

Basic, but nicely furnished and clean. It had everything we needed. The location was good, about 20-30 mins walk to the centre meant that it was abit quieter and that the prices are a bit lower. A good selection of restaurants really close means that you don't need to go far in the evenings

Lovely little hotel, friendly staff. The location was very convenient for the train station and the main sites of Rome were a walk away or on a bus route if your feet were soar! Our room was clean and had everything we needed. We had pre - requested a quiet room and we were really pleased with how quiet the room was, obviously taking into account that Rome is a very busy city!! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Excellent option for the budget traveler to Rome"
I had a very good experience with this hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is cute and is well maintained, as well as clean. The neighborhood is a real Roman neighborhood, not many tourists, which I liked, yet it was only 15-20 minutes by the 98 bus to the center. Breakfast and wifi were included in the price. Breakfast was average for Italy, but included breads, croissants, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice and unlimited cappuccino (via a machine). What more do you need? For a budget traveler it is a good option. Bring earplugs in case you have a noisy neighbor as I occasionally did. The floors are tile, and sound does carry. All things considered, I would recommend this hotel.
