This hotel is in an absolutely excellent location - After arriving in Rome and leaving my luggage in the hotel, I found my way to the Vatican within 20 minutes. As soon as you leave the road, you are either at the beautiful Castle Saint Angelo, or the Piazza Adriana - a beautiful spot for your morning cappuccino. In all honesty, this is not a 5 star hotel, it's economical and you get what you pay for. But if you are in Rome because you simply want to explore Rome, then this place is perfect. If you want luxury, then not so much. The staff are just lovely, and I felt very welcomed when I arrived. I can't recommend this place enough to be honest. Rome has been a dream of mine since I was little, and this sweet little hotel in it's wonderful location with it's lovely staff made the trip that bit sweeter.

I've stayed here twice, both times for a single night before catching a flight, and I was very satisfied. The hotel is very clean and Paolo, the owner, went out of his way to help me. This hotel exceeded my expectations and I will definitely stay here again. The hotel can be a bit tricky to find, since the sign is not very big, so it's a good idea to check a map first. Also, be aware that the hotel is on the fourth floor (there is a very small lift) and that the wi-fi is unreliable in some areas. Payment is in cash.

Basic, but nicely furnished and clean. It had everything we needed. The location was good, about 20-30 mins walk to the centre meant that it was abit quieter and that the prices are a bit lower. A good selection of restaurants really close means that you don't need to go far in the evenings

"Excellent option for the budget traveler to Rome"
I had a very good experience with this hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is cute and is well maintained, as well as clean. The neighborhood is a real Roman neighborhood, not many tourists, which I liked, yet it was only 15-20 minutes by the 98 bus to the center. Breakfast and wifi were included in the price. Breakfast was average for Italy, but included breads, croissants, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice and unlimited cappuccino (via a machine). What more do you need? For a budget traveler it is a good option. Bring earplugs in case you have a noisy neighbor as I occasionally did. The floors are tile, and sound does carry. All things considered, I would recommend this hotel.

I was a little apprehensive when we booked this hotel on line as its rated as a one star but the reviews were excellent. After our stay there I can say I would have absolutely no hesitation staying there again. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and big enough for five of us with cool A/C which was very welcome in the hot month of August.
The staff were extremely friendly and genuinely helpful in all aspects including helping us plan our days in Rome. I was very impressed with them and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who needs comfortable quarters, helpful staff great value.

I stayed in rome for 5 nights. On a buf=dget this place is pricless. The place I had little difficulty finding. It does not have a street sign. But it is very easy to find the street, you just have to read all the wall plaques to find it. It is about a 3 minute walk from termini. Entering the permisses i wasn't sure what to expect. But once I had checked in and saw the room. I saw I was getting a great deal, The room is cleaned every day, Freshly made bed, Clean cleaning facilities. the staff were friendly and you could come and go as you please no curfews, which was great because I was out til early hours in the morning getting in as many sights as I could. The only down side I can mention is No breakfast was provided. Which I would have liked, but I didn't pay for breakfast, I was simple told that I was not available during my stay.(But there is a fridge) But I wasn't to much of a hassle, There was a supermarket beside Termini. I stocked up on what I needed and I had a great experience In Rome and a great stay in Soggiorno Emanuela. When I return to Rome I will definatly be staying here again. It is the best money can offer. If you are like me travelling on a budget, it is well worth checking this place out.

We loved this hotel in Rome! We were able to find the hotel quickly and easily. It is located right next to the train station on the 4th (actually 5th) floor of a building made up of several hotels-- there is a small elevator so don't worry!
The managers (a wonderful couple) speak little to no English but were able to communicate clearly and were very kind to us and the other guests.
The room had a nice bathroom in it and was very spacious. The singular (extra) bed was very much a roll out bed and not recommended. I'd suggest getting another room or a room with two double beds.

The guy at the desk was very helpful about what to see in Rome, public transport, tickets, etc. We were allowed to leave our heavy suitcase there after we checked out, without an extra charge. They also let us use the microwave in the office. The hotel is close to bus stops, metro stations, and tram stops. It is a 20 minute walk to the Colloseum. Our room had windows opening out onto the street.
