"disappointing hotel"
I picked this room because it was cheap by San Fransisco standards, a little less than $150 a night. It would've been well worth it to spend more and have a nicer place. Nothing worked in the room, there was no housekeeping service for clean towels or anything like that, and the entire building has a really uncomfortable atmosphere.

"Hostel -- for what it is, it's great"
Remember - it's not a hotel, it's a hostel. That means shared bathroom and showers - but they're clean and lock. I had my own room with a fridge, microwave, basic tv (5 channels) and free wi-fi. There's no maid service, but if you're staying in a hostel, that's not surprising. If you want a serious hotel experience - luxurious bed, free maid service, room service etc -- this isn't the place for you.If you're looking to stay cheap and just sleep in your room, using it as a jump off point to enjoy SF, it's a great place. Good location, two blocks west of Union Square, where a bunch of tours leave and the cable cars. Near the BART station.

"A room is all we needed"
Stayed her for pride sat night. The bed is almost as big as the room with a little corner table and lamp, it was all we needed. We weren't in the city for the hotel we were there for Pride. The room was clean and so was the bathroom, It served me well for the 6 hours I slept there. It was a cute hostel the pictures do it no justice.
