This was our favourite hotel of the eight different places we stayed in eight days. The hotel was cosy and clean, very comfortable. The in house restaurant provided excellent food (great value for money)- one of our best meals on our trip, with great service.

The Mount Washington Resort is a beautiful hotel with lots of history. The amenities are outstanding as is the view and the hotel staff. During check in my boyfriends birthday was casually mentioned and an hour or so later they sent a birthday treat up to our room. Later, he was comped a cocktail at the bar when they noticed his birthday while checking his ID. These small acts of hospitality really made our stay special, and set the Mount Washington apart from other resorts in the Bretton Woods area.

Beautiful room in the Salt Box. Plenty of space to relax, King-size bed and beautiful bathroom. Breakfasts were included and served (only limited items on the buffet e.g. no fruit juice) so you have to order and…………tip!)
Food at breakfast and dinner is superb, fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavour.
Only downside of our 3 night experience was the Maitre d' experience ; plenty of available tables at breakfast but Kathy keeps you waiting at the desk while she fiddles with coffee maker, a couple of visits to the kitchen etc until she "finds" you a table that was set-up all the time !!!
Her classic performance was to keep us waiting in the bar for dinner "until a table became available". When we queried the fact that a third of the tables in the restaurant were unoccupied we were told that they were "booked".
Over the 90 minutes we were in the bar, we monitored these tables and they were never occupied. Eventually we kept checking with Kathy until she got bored with delaying us further, by which time half of the tables in the restaurant were empty!!
A fabulous experience at the Christmas Farm Inn, slightly spoiled by over-pompous Maitre d' experience.
Leisure facilities are good; a small plunge pool (looking a bit tired)l, a jaccuzi spa and exercise gym,. Opening hours published as 9am-9pm but actually open 24 hours (much more useful for my 7.30am swimming regime!!

The staff who operate the Lodge also operate the Townhouses. They are EXCELLENT and SO helpful. The staff in the main hotel has been getting weaker and weaker ever since OMNI took it over. I still love the main hotel but I do find myself repeatedly disappointed by the staff's unwillingness or inability to think outside the box. (and I am not talking extremes, just common sense) Also the girl in the coffee shop/sweet shop put a puss on when I paid her for the coffees with a credit card. It was bizarre. A hotel of this caliber should have complimentary coffee and tea anyway.
OMNI needs to take this place seriously and get into the mindset of classy bohemian elegance...because this is a hikers mecca but we still know how to dress and dine.

Very friendly staff. Comfortabe, remodeled rooms. We enjoyed the rooms with a balcony. The only issue I could see for some travelers are there are no elevators to the second floor. This could be a problem for people with young children or those with disabilities. The beds were very comfortable.
