I had a wonderful greeting from the staff and thought the second room was nice. The first room was huge, I think it was handicap accessible but it had an awful odor. The staff moved us immediately after notification. The pool area and slide were quiet and clean. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the restaurant across the street from the hotel. Great stay.

We stayed here for one night on our way from Toronto to Orlando. The overall experience was excellent. The staff (mike) was very friendly and heeded to our two needs promptly. The breakfast was awesome as well, not to mention the kids-favourite lollipops at the reception. 5 out of 5.

I re-located to a small WNC town after 30+ years in Atlanta six months ago. I love it here, and wish to be nowhere else. However, as with all small towns, access to certain stores is limited. I recently became engaged, but my fiancé is 4 hours away! We decided to meet for an overnight trip, and chose Winston-Salem, due to the fact it is approximately halfway between our homes. My first search was for a pet friendly hotel. I came across Fairfield, and found the room rate and pet fee quite reasonable. The hotel amenities included were a plus as well. Upon viewing a map, I was very happy to find that not only was it right off I-40, but surrounded by a multitude of dining choices, and two stores I very much wanted and needed to visit. Upon arrival, I was met by a lovely young lady, who was cheerful, professional, and very personable. She welcomed my very friendly chihuahua with open arms (literally!), and a very nice little goody "doggybag." We checked in and found the room very spacious and comfortable. After dinner, the same young lady cheerfully granted our request for a later checkout time the next day. Our complementary breakfast offered a multitude of choices, and was delicious. After shopping, another young lady just as cheerfully granted our request for yet a bit more time to check out. We could not have had a better experience, and will certainly be back whenever we return to W-S! Thanks to everyone at Fairfield!

As with all Embassy Suites, the rooms are spacious to the point of being cavernous... kitchen area, comfortable sitting area and bedroom, and a bathroom large enough for a dance marathon.
Some, of the furniture in my sitting area was a little tired, but a pleasant maintenance man told me with great pride that lots of furniture upgrades were on the horizon, and mine was one of the next floors slated for the upgrade.
The staff was delightful, and not just the staff that you think of as customer-service-oriented. I could not pass a member of the staff in the hall without receiving a personal greeting. This includes maintenance men, valets, housekeepers, kitchen staff...everybody.
The experience was topped off by the included breakfast service and evening reception, and not just a simple, cold continental breakfast, but a full hot buffet.
I would be delight to stay here again.
