My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights. S. Stefano Di Magra is a small town with not much going on but it was nice to stay in a quaint area for us. Just 1 train stop away from la spezia from which you can take the train to Cinque Terre. The rooms were really nice and the breakfast was by far the best we had throughout our stay in Europe. The owners were incredibly helpful. There was a train strike so they bought us bus tickets and told us we did not have to pay for them. We were worried about making our train our last morning so asked about finding a cab and they insisted that they drive us. When I tried to pay them for the ride, they gave the money back! You will not regret staying here

Wonderful quaint place to stay. Claudia is wonderful. She gives you a pass to park at the train station and gives good advise on what to do. Breakfast was so great. see pics below. Nothing bad to say. Loved it. Thank you Claudia

We only stayed one night at this hotel.
The staff was very welcoming and warm. They took the time to explain the details about the hotel and the village (Monterosso). They also explained getting around by train or boat to explore the villages.
They were very knowledgeable.
Should we come back to the region, we will definitely stay here again.
Also they have great Julius Meinl coffee for anyone who likes good coffee!!
As well, their dog, Elvis, is adorable!
Thanks for everything!

Ilaria is a fantastic host. She gave us many pointers and tips on the cinque terre region and looked up trains for our Pisa visit. When my wallet was pickpocketed on the train she helped with the police and translation. The room is right off a pedestrian walkway that goes from the train station to the harbor. I would hVe liked it a little close to the train station but it's only 10 minute walk. The room itself is fine with a fridge and tv which we did not use and many shops and restaurants are nearby.

Affitacamere San Giorgio is a clean, comfortable place to rent a room in Cinque Terre. Technically it is not a hotel but a room for rent so there is no concierge or front desk. That said, the people who run it are very accommodating. When we arrived we could not get into the room due to some confusion with the information we had received by email prior to our arrival. We went to the little grocery store on the first floor and the owner was kind enough to call the hotel manager at work. He came over immediately from his work and sorted things out for us. The room was large and clean. It had all the comforts we desired except for a room safe (which we never felt we needed). There is an arrangement with the local cafe for a discount on meals, which we took advantage of.
The location could not be easier from the train station in Manarola and the town itself is lovely. This affitacamere is not handicap accessible. There is a flight of stairs immediately upon entering the front door.
