Let's be clear. You are not staying at a Motel 6 on romantic anniversary weekend or for a business trip paid for by your company. It's a cheap place to sleep, period. Now to be honest I had very low expectations but this place was a lot nicer than I thought it would be. I checked in after midnight following nearly 15 hours on the road and I wanted to go to bed. The woman at the front desk was pleasant, despite the hour, and got me my room keys with no delay. One of our rooms had the swinging door bolt closed and we could not open door. She came right out and got that worked out.
The rooms were very nice for what I was paying and everything worked and was clean. I was also traveling with two dogs and had not problems at all. It was too late to go swimming but the pool looked well maintained.
Overall I would say this was a good experience. I was expecting a very cheap room in a run down building and I was pleasantly surprised to have a nice comfortable room that was still the cheapest around.
