"Excellent location. Close to everything. Staff XNT"
It was our 1st vacaciĆ³n in downtown SF. There are tons of things to see there and The Mosser is close to almost everything and most of all it's next to trolley buses, buses, cable cars and the BART so transportaciĆ³n is not an issue. The only not so good experience was with EXPEDIA, not the hotel. The agent said to me nothing about having a room with no bathroom. I was supposed to share w/other 2 guests. I had to pay for an upgrade to get into our room (not pleasent) when I thought I had my budget under control. Your (Expedia) goal is not to sell but to satisfy customers!!

"Close to everything and a very charming hotel"
We were there during a massive storm and the staff did everything they could to accommodate us including extending breakfast time, giving out bottled water, handing out flashlights and trying to find people rides even thought the BART system was down, buses weren't running and very few cabs were around. They really went the extra mile.

"Stay at Bijou Hotel, San Francisco. CA"
The hotel itself is situated 1 minutes walk to Market Street where most of the shopping is located the convenience itself is a plus. The staff is really fantastic they give guest the feel of home especially for a first time guest of the city their service in my opinion surpass the 5 stars hotel. As to safety the area in general there are a lot of homeless people asking for money and cigarette you just have to be polite and reject them no need to be mean or aggressive towards them mind you there is also 5 star hotel in the same area but the hotel staff really do their part by not letting non guest to enter the hotel which includes the use of their toilets. I would strongly advice family visitors do not let their children roam about in the nights. If you need a cab let the front desk know so that they get their regular/trusted cab drivers to service you but as most of the things are nearby the only time you may need the cab is to the airport.

"Surprise new favorite in downtown SF"
I've stayed in many hotels around the Moscone Convention Center and this is my new favorite, especially for the price. Old hotel very nicely updated, everything solid, everything clean, staff absolutely wonderful, good coffee in the mornings in the library off the lobby, secure, huge windows in the room and bathroom, lots of storage space in the relatively small room, very comfortable bedding, great shower. Yes, it's on the edge of the Tenderloin, and you will see homeless people and maybe encounter a weirdo or two. But the hotel is only steps off the busy Market Street, so you're never far from a crowd. Plus the wonderful Farmer Brown restaurant (modern soul food) and fabulous Mikkeller Bar (42 taps and brewhouse!) are stumbling distance from the hotel door. Plenty of traffic noise from the street, but that's what you get when you stay in a small hotel in the city.

"Perfect location"
The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's right in the heart of San Francisco and there were so many places we could visit by walking from here. We stayed during Black Friday time so it was great to pay a few visits to Macy's and the shops around and immediately able to return to the hotel to drop off our purchases. Service was also excellent, there were many receptionists during our 3-day stay and all of them were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was ok, a little small with a view of a brick wall, but totally quiet and completely private. Breakfast was good but we wished there were more choices. The shuttle service to airport was smooth and well worth the price.

"Perfect for FSF!"
I don't normally leave five star reviews because they tend to be overlooked by sensible people as propaganda written by the hotel itself. However in this case I feel it is deserving. For the price, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay with a staff that is friendly and accepting, free parking on the street, updated rooms and within a block of Folsom Street Fair. While other nearby hotels chose to gouge fair-goers to the tune of almost EIGHT times their normal rate, this place stayed classy and remained very close to their normal rates. Pros: Great room (I had a corner room) with microwave and empty fridge, great bathroom, comfortable bed, nice view, parking on the street is free overnight if you get it early. Flat screen TV in my room. Cons: No off-street parking. Honestly that's the only thing I could think of. Oh, and the remodel of the front lobby is not as warm and inviting as the old pictures. Still nice though. The satellite TV was a bit strange, seemed to have maybe 30 channels that repeated over and over up to channel 9999. Remote was not very responsive. Now I'm just nitpicking. Overall a great hotel if you need a place to stay for FSF. They allow checking in around 1-2pm and checking out around noon at the latest. I will be staying again!

"A great value"
I had to be in San Francisco for my daughter's surgery. I normally do not frequent this area but due the lack of notice I had a limited budget. I found this hotel and I have to say that the staff was very polite and caring Stephanie was very caring. The room was equal to any hotel I have ever stayed in. I have been from Tahiti to Hawaii and back it is a nice clean room. I was a single woman that stayed in the back of the hotel. Yes some guests did get a little loud. But that was not the hotels fault. The comfort and free am meal with great staff made this stay in this hotel a real value for SOMA South of Market Street. DO NOT BELIEVE THE CRAP the others have written no bed bugs, the room was clean and a nice comfy stay. Thank you.
