When I mentioned the problem with wi-fi reception the hotel manager immediately offered to transfer me to another room; she was very polite, understanding and worked to ensure that my stay was pleasant. The hotel, while appearing to be only two levels from the road, is actually 4 stories that overlook the forest and swimming pool behind the hotel. The property, while probably dating to the late '60s or early '70s is very well maintained and reasonably updated. I noticed that a number of expanded rooms that overlook the pool & deck include full size jacuzzi tubs, reminiscent of what you might find in the Poconos; very retro and fun.
