"A real find on busy Grand Cayman"
Northern Lights is a group of nine townhomes, mostly owner occupied. The two story home has two bedrooms upstairs each with its own full bathroom. The master bedroom overlooks the ocean and has a screen porch with hammock. Downstairs there is another screen porch, living room, dining area, half-bath, and kitchen complete with washer and dryer. Everything was clean, neat, and convenient. All we had to supply was food, and the owner would have stocked the fridge if we had asked him to do so before we arrived. The snorkeling off the shore is the best on the island, although difficult when it is too windy. On those days we drove (45minutes) to 7 mile beach and snorkeled and wandered in the sun. One of the best restaurants on the island, Over the Edge, is nearby. We could not have asked for a more beautiful or restful vacation at a fraction of the cost and the hassle of the tourist filled West side. We hope to return soon and often.

"Great dive resort on ocean"
We just got back from a wonderful vacation at this resort. The views are spectacular, right on beach, quiet, very relaxing, exceptionally clean, friendly and helpful staff, great food at grill on the resort, dive staff very knowledgeable, experienced, worked with us before our visit toward padi certification, pool and hot tub were wonderful after and before diving, our teenage boys had plenty to keep them busy and entertained, including wifi. A great family resort on the less crowded part of grand cayman. We plan to go back within the year.

"Paradise!"
This was a family holiday at the start of the Cayman's low season with boys aged 13, 11 & 7. It was paradise! The complex was not very busy but this did mean we had the pool, hot tubs and beach virtually to ourselves. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful in all areas. Days out to StingRay City and Turtle Farm were great for the whole family. Food and eating out is quite expensive but we had expected this. The only thing missing from the apartments would have been a restaurant or bar for the evenings when you don't want to go out. Would love to visit again.

"Grand Cayman Vacation"
Booked the Ritz Carlton Hotel for a a week long stay. Overall, the experience of staying at a 5-star hotel on a resort island was exactly what I had expected; expensive, but not at all unexpected as we were at a Ritz. Found a few other venues to occupy our time, like the Dolphin Swim. The beach is as advertised - one of the best in the world. Would recommend taking the Safari Tour to get the know the island a little more. The Turtle Farm is interesting also. On the down side, we specifically asked for feather-free bedding materials due to allergies. Unfortunately the 1st night was very, very rough as we discovered that this request was not honored. But room service came up at about 3:30 AM and changed all of the bedding materials. There are several eating establishments a cab ride away so be adventurous and try as many different restaurants as possible.

"Beautiful hotel on the prettiest beach!"
We loved the spacious rooms and exquisite furnishings of this hotel. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily. The front desk employees and maid service were also excellent. Also, the beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and it was never crowded. Everything you would need to float, play or relax is provided by the hotel. The one negative is the poolside wait service. They are hard to find and slow!!! The food by the pool is also marginal. However, we didn't eat there more than one time and fixed our own drinks to bring to the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel for those that want a quiet, relaxing vacation on one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Also, we were surprised to find out that there are no waves in the ocean at this location. It is like swimming in a pool the water is so beautifully blue and clear. In addition there are no shells but only small pieces of coral. You can snorkel right in front of the hotel. You will be able to see the reefs from your balcony. I wouldn't worry about where your room is located in this hotel. The way it is configured there are no bad views.

"Very comfortable room next to the beach."
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The snorkeling right near the hotel was very good, especially under the piers. The rooms were spacious, everything necessary for comfort was there, good full kitchen, and a wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean. The view could not have been better and more relaxing.

"A wonderful place to stay"
My wife and I went for a 4 day anniversary trip. The hotel and location were just as advertised. Being the off season, it was very low occupancy. That made for a quiet relaxing time. We were given a room facing the ocean on the highest level available. Top level was being renovated. I assumed out room had recently been done because it looked fresh and brand new. Only a handful on the beach at a time. Water is crystal clear. We ate at the Side Bar one night. Great food. Hemingways was closed for renovation but we knew that ahead of time. Plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. Front desk staff was always friendly and very helpful with what to do around the island. Most importantly, I accidentally left my wedding ring there and the housekeeping manager was able to find it and shipped it out next day! We plan on returning and bringing other family with us.

"Fantastic Diving east end of Grand Cayman. Tortuga"
This was a scuba adventure with Tortuga Divers at the Morritz resort. (Red Sail Sports). The diving was spectacular and the diving instructors are world class. Definitely recommended. The Reef Resort was perfect. Walking distance to boat. We had full kitchen and large sitting room directly facing the beach. Two nice pools and hot tub. Food at the attached restaurant was great. Even had attached Laundromat. Grocery and liquor store across the street. Perfect.
