Recommended: if you don't want to spend a lot on a room and don't care about lots of extras it's just fine. a couple of the lamps didn't work and if we had planned to stay longer than one night we would have tried to do something about it but it hardly seemed worth the effort for just one night. mainly it was clean and quiet and about as comfortable as any motel i've ever stayed in so it's definately worth what we paid for it. Recommended: If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere, but for a place to shower, sleep and keep your stuff while you hike around the mountains and Dahlonega, it's the best bargain. There's a McDonalds next door, for cheap eats too. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: Luckly to find a room at last minute for Octoberfest and was very surprised at the cleaninless and maintenance of this hotel. I had read some of earlier posts and was a lettle worried. Found that those reviews no longer were true. This property was clean and the breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Especially liked that it was so close to the town. Recommended: I stayed here in June 2009 for a work / leisure trip. Since the hotel was not full, they upgraded my room to a lake view. Great stay - everything was nice and the area is really pretty and peaceful (compared to Atlanta). Will definitely stay here for work when I'm up there again next year! Not recommended: The hotel manager is rude and unhelpful. The toilet had a paper cover that indicated it had been cleaned, but the inside of the toilet was anything but. Hopefully they cleaned the seat. I wouldn't recommend staying here. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: The only complaint that I have with this Hotel is the non-smoking room reeked with the smell of smoke. I question the staff if they made a mistake and gave me a smoking room instead of a non smoking room but they replied that the person that had the room prior must have smoked. Recommended: We had our two grandsons (ages 8 & 11) with us. This hotel had a great hot breakfast, cookies at the front desk, within walking distance to Cool River Tubing, miniature golf, and downtown Helen. Unicoi is just a short drive. We had a double queen room with a frig and microwave. Room was kept clean. The indoor pool was great. We had a GREAT time staying here in Helen and will come again. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: I was looking for a cheap hotel in dahlonega on short notice and this was it. There are not too many hotels to choose from there but it was cheap enough, pretty clean and the people were friendly. If you need a cheap room in dahlonega this is the place. See all reviews for this hotel
