We arrived a couple of hours early, the staff were very accommodating and provided us a very nice room.
Parking was not available on location but there is paid parking just one block away for a very affordable price, plenty of parking available even during the long weekend.
The hotel has the 1970s feel, the rooms were decent looking, no funky smell.
They provided breakfast between 6 AM - 10 AM. The breakfast was good.
They have shuttle service to Newark airport, they also reserve cabs for us if we inform them in advance. We took a cab to Liberty State park.
The staff are very hard working and focused. They are extremely patient.
PATH train station is very close, a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. Very cheap and the trains take us to the heart of NYC in less than half hour. 10 min to World Trade Center(Mon-Fri). The trains are not full, the stations are not very crowded. The train frequency is also very good.
Very close to fantastic Indian restaurants(in Indian square).
I didnt walk around the area after 10 PM, so I am not sure how safe it is after dark, but before 10 PM, I am sure that it is a very safe area.

We wanted to go to NYC for a long weekend without the big expense of a NYC hotel. Hotel staff was extremely helpful, our room was comfortable and clean. There is a shuttle that stops right outside the hotel every 10 to 15 minutes and takes you to Times Square for a mere $3.00 per person. Then when you're done exploring the city you get back on the shuttle and it returns you to the top of the hill and it's just a short walk down to the hotel. We felt safe walking the short distance to the hotel and were never uncomfortable in our surroundings.

The location is hard to reach. It wasted about 2 hours to find the right way to the hotel, coz the hotel located at the side of a major trunk road which forbids turning left to cross the road. The odors in the room was not very good, but you can open the window. The room is spacious, comfortable and well-lit. The wifi was fast. They provided free parking and continental breakfast. Staffs there were friendly and kindhearted. There were bus to Manhattan and CVS and restaurants nearby.
