"Comfort and convenience in Manhattan!"
It did what it needed to do, a great room (807) with ambiance. If you are going to the city and need a great room to sleep and relax in then look no further. You're in the Big Apple, you do not need cable or satellite TV, nor a computer center, pool or sauna. That is not what the city is for. Close to major sights and attractions. Front desk helpful in printing my flight E-pass, Sent up an iron and board on request. Rooms are vintage and well done with Crown Molding, Wood trims and very clean. The place was fully booked during Memorial Day weekend and it was quiet. My wife and I will definitely be booking there in future trips to the city. The train is about a block and a half away and you can go up to Grand Central or Lexington for transfers. Get the Weekly unlimited Metra Pass for $31 per person and see it all (as of May 2015). Trains are easy to navigate and the bus drivers are extremely helpful. Korea Town is two blocks away, Empire state Building is 3, Chrysler Building is about 5 and there is plenty of places to eat nearby.

"Nice price, good location"
I had to book a relatively inexpensive room on short notice for a business trip. The location happeperfect for both of my appointments. If you're staying for pleasure, the Clarion is close to the NYCAirporter GCT dropoff/pickup. In fact, there's plenty to see in the area just walking about. Room was tiny, but for my purposes that was fine. And it was clean. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful.

"Comfortable, convenient and cost-effective hotel."
This was my 10th or 12th stay at this hotel. Good access to subway line allowed me to get to the museum district quickly and cheaply. Ate well at local restaurants, especially at the many places featuring Indian cuisine. Generally, taxis are readily available, but it is often difficult to get taxis during evening rush hour, when many travelers want to get to the theater district. Despite access to subway 6-Line, taxis are, realistically, virtually required to get to some desirable neighborhoods; e.g., Greenwich Village and Chelsea. Taxi fare to Lincoln Center is about $20, before tip. Taxi fare to the Met. Museum is about the same, although the nearby subway line will take you to about seven blocks (four of them short blocks) from the Met.'s entrance The hotel staff is unfailingly courteous and helpful.
