"newly remodeled-amazing staff!!"
Vestin Residence has been remodeled and renamed Vestin Villa. when i went on my trip in the beginning of Jan, they had just re-opened 2 weeks prior. Everything was brand new. it even still smelled new. rooms are small, true, but we didnt care because we had everything we needed in our room, and we were only there in the evening. very warm rooms, heated floors. Beds were a bit hard for our taste, but that wasnt the only hotel in Korea that had hard beds.Restrooms are not see-thru, but it is a combo w/shower. there are n our floor had a sink and stove, and a water cooler..they even had a pan and utinsels you could borrow to cook with. Free breakfast which mostly consisted of sweet breads, but also peanut butter and jelly, which i love, so i was happy, and grateful for that because korea's not much on breakfast food. There's also 2 washers available to use, with complimentary laundry detergent. The staff here was amazing!! They were super friendly and helpful..as a matter of fact on our first day of arrival, one of the staff members actually walked us to myeongdong markets to the restaurant we wanted to eat at. super helpful. Vestin villa is across the street from myeongdong markets, however, keep in mind that part of town has steep hills and small, windy streets. so, really, from hotel door to the markets is a steep 5 minute walk, but its well worth it to have such a cozy and inexpensive place to stay. would stay there again!
