The village of Playa de Mogan clings to the cliffs above a curving beach of golden sand imported from the Sahara. The harbor area, with its pedestrian walkways, is knows as the Venice of the Canaries. There is a marina here, along with restaurants and souvenir shops. The town of Puerto Rico, to the south, also has a marina, as well as a gently sloping, child-friendly beach.
