"Good memories"
we opted for the sahred bathroom option. everything exceeded our expectation. Thank you Rudolph for being a fantastic host. only critisim would be the cig. smoke in the building which is a little off putting.but that does not affect the room or reception. the shared bathroom was tiny for me i could barely fit in it being an avg size male, but everything was very clean. Rudolph hoepfully you received our thank you note :)

"Nice hotel with good location and friendly staff!"
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Rome. It was located in the center of town, and was within walking distance to all of the main attractions. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly (Abdul in particular), and offered many good suggestions of places to see and eat. We were in a deluxe room, which was newly remodeled with comfy beds, and a little nicer than the standard rooms.

"Great hotel!"
We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time in Rome! The location to the sights is perfect. The unexpected part was it was in a great neighbourhood with amazing restaurants, boutiquey shops and a great atmosphere. The staff were very helpful, printing off train tickets and sight admissions for us. Cute cappuccinos in the morning too!

"Friendly Hotel"
Hotel was in a really handy location, not on a main road but right by the main Termini station and within easy walking distance of Trevi fountain & Colosseum. The room we had was comfortable & spotlessly clean. I was traveling with just my 10 year old son and he was happy with the room too. The breakfast area was a bit cosy but it wasn't a restaurant so I didn't expect much more. The staff were absolutely fabulous, they arranged a pick up from the airport as I had booked a tour for the day we arrived but it started before I could check in, they looked after my luggage until we finished the tour. They pointed us in the right direction & gave us a map so we knew where we were going. I had emailed them several times before we arrived and they replied instantly with all the info I'd requested. I have to say that I didn't particularly love the locals but the staff at the hotel made us feel at home, I can't express enough how lovely they were. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanted a no nonsense hotel, you get what you pay for and I'm glad I booked with them. x

"Hot Roman Days"
We were able to walk from the main train station. Being up a few floors made it quieter and more secure. The rooms were clean and air conditioned. We were a family of 6 split into 2 rooms. Although a bit small each room was comfortable. Above all were Carlo and Ivan at the main reception area. We were able to obtain all kinds of transit, dining and tourist advice from our un-official guides. We were there for 3 days in late July 2012. If it was too hot to walk, transit was close by. Otherwise the concierge called reputable taxi companies for us. We would stay here again.

"Awesome value in central Rome"
Know what to expect out of Europe before you travel there for the first time. Compared to the U.S., accommodations are quite different. Bathrooms are small, shower stalls are narrow, beds can be small and uncomfortable. If you already expect these things, or have traveled to Europe and know what to expect, you will be perfectly happy at this hotel. Clarin is in a great location (10 min. walk to Colosseum), since I'm familiar navigating Roman streets I was able to locate the hotel easily (others have said it's poorly signed, but there is a black and white sign at the doorway of the building). The hotel is on the 2nd floor (3rd floor for us that count the ground floor as #1) and is only 21 rooms. The staff, all four of them, were fabulous. Do yourself and them a favor and know some Italian before you go - none of them speak fluent English, but most speak at least a little bit. Muhammad was a fabulous host, helping with breakfast every morning, would be back by the late afternoon, watched over the hotel all night, I swear he only took 4 hours off each day. He knows hardly any English, but a conversation in broken Italian was great fun. Room was made ready for us ASAP when we arrived early for check in and we could SMELL the cleanliness of our room once we got down the hall. Some rooms overlook the street, so be prepared for road noise, but in my book that's nothing to complain about. Loved our trip, were comfortable and happy, and will be back!

At first a difficult address to find, but a perfect and safe location. Needed something with drawer space for clothing for an extended stay, but would recommend Nardizzi.
