Super central (perfect); xcellent value for money, once you consider it includes breakfast;
you can cook, have tea/coffee for free; besides Wi-Fi, you also have a PC/laptop, in case you left yours at home
Everything there is to see is either at walking distance or with ALL transports real close; manager will satisfy your needs, and give you her Cell-phone n.er

The hotel is right in the town centre and it's so cheap for the location and for what it offers. It's clean, the staff are very friendly and polite and your breakfast is included. You're minutes away from the town which is full of shops and right next to a metro stop.

this is NOT called sofia guest house, but ART HOSTEL (by the way)...lovely, inexpensive, simple and PERFECT...the reception staff was SO NICE, FRIENDLY, and HELPFUL from the minute i checked in...i have to say, one of the overall best experiences i have had in any hotel. i stayed in a private room in the private apartment around the corner from the more boisterous hostel, and it was on a quiet, beautiful, tree-lined street...the night scene in the gorgeous garden was fantastic, social and everyone hanging out like old friends. nicolay and martin in reception deserve raises for how welcoming and sweet they were!! i LOVED it :)

We had the hostel sign outside the window, which gave the room an interesting hue! There were a lot of steps to climb, be warned. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a packaged croissant, but ok til we went to the shop down the road to get fruit. Great location, didn't use public transport there at all. The only downside was the trams are quite noisy very early in the morning.

The hotel is not too far away (5-10 minute walk) from the Train/Bus station and 10-15 minute walk to the historic part of town. The room had clean sheets and hot water, which are basic requirements. There were 2 TV stations in English. The TV was probably a late 1990's model. The bed could have used a couple more slats underneath though. The hotel was close enough to the center and the staff was friendly.
