Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Elysees Opera. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming. On arrival told us all about the local amenities, where the best Metro stops were as the hotel is in the middle of 3 stations in close proximity. We were given a map and made to feel very at home for our stay. We used the Liège station for travelling around, and on the short walk to this station we passed some nice patisseries and bars for a quick break, a very nice location. The hotel is warm and comforting, a nice sized colour TV, comfortable bed, a free bottle of water - nice touches like that. There was a separate WC and bathroom across the hall from each other in our room. Nice powerful shower after a day of sightseeing in France. Stayed at 2 hotels during our stay and this was by far the nicest. Great for the money paid. Didn't try the breakfast in the morning so cannot comment. It is a lot smaller than it seems in the photo's, a tiny bar at the front desk that doubles up as the other side to the reception area. But despite this, it makes the hotel more cosy and very quiet at night time on a side street location.

First of all if you're a nit picky person who tries to find fault in every accommodation you try obviously don't stay in this hotel. Yes it isn't the most spacious and extravagant hotel in Paris but honestly who wants to be staying at the Marriott when you can experience Parisian bohemian culture first hand in this lovely hotel.
Staff was extremely friendly and well presented, location was excellent, room was more than satisfying especially for extremely cheap rates.
If you want perfectly decorated interiors and a perfect en suite go book at the Marriott or the Ritz, but if you want to spend your nights in Paris dreaming of its past bohemian culture or if you really just want a good nights rest stay here and you will not be disappointed.
I would definitely stay again.

"Very modern and clean room, 2 min from the metro"
I really enjoyed staying at this place: the room was newly furnished, very clean, and has a great modern decor; even on the ground floor it was quiet with the windows closed. There's a nice little garden with seats and a lobby area. The staff were friendly and professional.

We were in Paris for a long weekend with some friends. We found this hotel which is about 20 minutes from the Eurostar Terminal at Gare du Nord very convenient and comfortable. Close to restaurants, metro and shopping.
Not the cheapest part of Paris, but only a 5/10 minute walk to the metro when we wanted to visit other areas.
