Saint-Geniez-d'Olt is a beautiful small town on the river Lot, with interesting old buildings, streets and squares. There are several good cafes, restaurants and shops, and local walks in the surrounding hills.
The hotel is in the corner of one of the town squares and is a delight, with a very friendly manager and staff, excellent food, and a lovely pool. The rooms could do with some updating at some point (we were in the separate block, not the main hotel building), but we had a super stay and we will go there again if we get the chance.

This "hotel" is really a B&B with a restaurant. It is in a lovely location, and the GPS co-ordinates that we were given to find it worked perfectly. However, because of the location, you are a bit captured for evening dining, unless you want to drive some distance. The Wifi worked well, and the pool was nice, although getting a bit chilly (mid-September). The option of dining outdoors on the terrace was great, but we didn't like the hornets that buzzed around in the evening! Spoilt our ability to sit outside our room after dinner, as they were attracted by the light, which we couldn't turn off. We thought the food was a bit over-priced - our 2 night stay cost us 300 Euro - much higher than we had expected.

I think I have already done this review once, but one of the things which impressed us most was to find a French hotel with coffee and tea making equipment in the room, and the other was the way the staff were willing to fill our thermos the next day 'avec plaisir'. We are now converted to Campanile!
