The hotel is a little bit out of Canmore, but as a result it is closer to the ski hills. The rooms are almost like a mini condo. A main floor with kitchen/dining/living/half bath room, then an upper floor with two queen bedrooms, both with TVs and a full bath room. The main floors couch is a pull out bed as well so you can fit three people comfortably. Our room was in between two other guests and we never heard a thing from them. Overall a very good hotel and I highly recommend it.

Great site, wonderful hot tub/ pool deck area over looking the town site. All the buildings are duplex style condo's. We ended up in a loft suite with 3 queen beds, dining area, kitchenette, living room and 1 and 1/2 baths. Balcony looking up at beautiful Mt. Norquay. Being from Calgary I'd call the rooms "Banff-y" meaning they are a touch dated and the rooms smell of fireplace but that's really what you expect. Staff was all very pleasant to deal with and the free firewood for the fireplaces and coffee/ hot chocolate in the lobby are always a treat on a cold winter's day. Great spot for a family or couple looking to get out of the Banff bar scene. Highly recommended.

We were warmly greeted by the gentleman at the desk, as well as a wonderful aroma from the fire place.
The room was very clean and we enjoyed French Onion soup in our room from The Keg!!!
The young lady at the desk as we were leaving was very personable.
We would definitely stay here again and hopefully longer the next visit!!!

I have stayed at the Banff Park Lodge before and remembered it being really nice and centrally located so when my husband and I decided to stay in Banff again I definitely wanted to stay at the Banff Park Lodge again. It is so easy to walk to everywhere in town and the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and quite comfortable. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Banff.

Fifth time in the hotel, nice stay as always, motivated and service orientated staff, great location. Only "downside" is the very confusing nature of the hotel layout, finding your room is almost never straight forward (obviously expanded over time bringing this issue), but that is really a minor issue at most. Would come back any time again.

Go to Banff each year in November with the ladies and this was first time we stayed at the Ptarmigan Inn. It's a great hotel, friendly staff, great hot/cold tubs/sauna, and the free breakfast was in an actual restaurant with sausages, bacon, eggs, pototatoes, muffins and an omelet centre - it was fantastic.
We decided that next year we will try the Ptarmigan again.

Upon arrival we were immediately checked in by the pleasant front desk staff. They were very organized and efficient. We got the loft room which the Expedia description said had a single Queen bed but when we got to the room there were 2 queens and a double, which was a little excessive for 2 people, but the extra space was nice. Aside from the crying baby on one side of us and fist pumping teenagers (who the hotel staff quickly took care of) on the other, the room was comfy and quiet. There was a stain on the carpet here and there but the room was still clean and in pretty good shape. I would definitely stay there again!

We had a couple of requests after we checked in and they were both dealt with in less than 10 minutes!
Close enough to walk downtown even in snowy weather, underground parking a plus although the corners are tight and the clearance is very tight. You will want to secure your parking spot underground and leave it there by late afternoon. Large breakfast area with lots of options. The staff spoke English very well. The pool area was a very comfortable temp and 2 hot tubs at 2 different temps are a great idea! Cozy mountain décor. No problem adding a cot to the room either!
