The airport express train station is only 1 minute walk from the hotel. I had an early morning flight to catch and from the hotel to the airport terminal 3 is only taking 15-20 minutes by the airport express train. It worked great to me! The room is very comfortable. Feng Huang Hui, a big shopping center, is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Stayed at Ariva double storey suite from 30th June-13th july ( Room 1303) and on 22nd July ( Room 1246). Both suites are superb, room 1303 is near the lift but 1246 is like a 150m walk to the lift. Ask for non smoking floor if you do not smoke and also a room near to the lift.
Love the glass panel attached bathroom on the second floor. I slept very well all the nights I stayed in the hotel. And they have a distinctive "Ariva scent" to all their toiletries, i never used those things provided by hotels, but those from Ariva - I really love them. They allow you to place your luggage after you checked out, i kept mine over there for 10 days when I head over to Inner Mongolia. Late checkout is at 2pm, you just got to request from them.

Although mainly found Chinese travellers there, I found it great. Staff were very helpful. There was at least one person who could speak in English. They also told me how to get about in the subway when asked. However, if you want to travel to Great Wall, hotel will not arrange a tour bus for you. I hired a taxi because I had one day allocated to go to Great Wall and it suited me. Also, hotel will not arrange airport transfer bus. There are taxis, and I took one, as I had luggage that I cannot carry in the subway. I found Chinese people as helpful people. Some will take a few minutes to show you directions. These seldom happen in a western country. If you know Chinese language, even a little, it will definitely help, as a few can communicate in English.

Check in was challenging, they show 2 reservations under my name. I showed them my expedia print out and they were still confused. Maybe that is why I was double charge? read on..
This hotel is ok but i would not stay again. If you happened to book this hotel, DO NOT give them your credit card for room key deposit. They charged me for the entire stay, even though I checked in with my print out from expedia. I wasn't aware of the charge until I came back to the States and monitor my credit card activities. Charge was average out to be 13US/day cheaper than what i paid at expedia. Maybe that is why our room is so bad? didnt' give us the correct catagory room that we booked with expedia? Now I have to work with my credit card company to dispute the charge. when I hand them my card, I was told they just put an authorization and will cancel it when I checked out. Didn't know I was charged because I didnt sign anything.

Nice, clean apartment with kitchen, bath, living room, tv,, AC, even a washer, at a very reasonable price. Perfect for an extended stay in Beijing. Located near bus, subway and cabs for easy access to the whole city. Great view from my apartment on the 23rd floor. Kitchen had burners, fridge, microwave. Bath had waterfall shower head and small washing machine. Living area had nice love seat and LCD tv. Dining area with table and chairs. Nice big bed with duvet. Plenty of closet space. Free Wifi. I would definitely stay here again. Many little restaurants to eat at in the area. Secure entry. Clean elevators.

I was greeted at the airport by the hotel car (at my expense, of course) whisked into Beijing and personally escorted to my room by a very attentive staff. The room was exactly as described on the Expedia page: one king, with attached bath. The bat was sumptuous, the towels overlarge and very thick. The room was easily large enough for me, with well-appointed closets and a good desk, especially at the Expedia rate I had paid. I went looking for an English-language newspaper with crossword on the first night and for the duration of my stay, the concierge arranged to have two of them delivered to my door every morning for the duration of the stay. If you choose the western-style breakfast buffet at Jihn in the lower lobby, don't miss the Bread and Butter Pudding, it's as good as my mother used to make.
I hired a hotel car and a tour guide, as I had but one day to myself. I probably could have found the Temple of Heaven by myself, but I would have been lost in the Forbidden City, as I had no time to prepare. We visited a Hu Tong as well as one of Beijing's lakes lined with clubs and bars, and filled with paddle-boats, which I wouldn't have been able to find by myself. The cost of the guide and the car, although by no standard inexpensive, was worth every Mao, as I will likely not be returning to Beijing, at least in this lifetime...
