"Excellent choice if you like an all inclusive hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay, the staff are very welcoming and helpful at anything being asked. The entertainment provided and daily events surrounding the pool area are excellent, don't miss out on this free entertainment. The only thing that we disliked was the constant pressure of re-booking the hotel for future stays, but they will leave you alone if you respectfully tell them to do so.

The front desk said we would get one or their best rooms: - window looking at a/c system / no view whatsoexer - warm room upon arrival , front desk said to leave key in room to keep a/c on while we eat and we'd get new key upon return. To our surprise they removed the key and unlocked safe while we were out. Upon departure I was told a bottle of wine and an energy drink were missing from minibar. We hadn't taken it... they said it was a mistake.
A choice without all the amenities in their price range.
The breakfast was good

We stayed in this hotel with our daughter and her new Colombian husband following their wedding on our first visit every to Colombia. We took a long time choosing a hotel as it was such an important occasion. It did not disappoint. The rooms were excellent, the staff were friendly, the food was lovely. There is a private beach with sunshades and chairs for free (sunbeds extra) and towels for the pool and beach are free. The sunbeds by the pool are free.
It is close enough to the shops and restaurants in Bocagrande to walk to them (10 mins) and it is just a short taxi ride to the centre and the old walled town which is well worth a visit in the day for its historical interest and in the evening for a wide range of eateries to suit all pockets. We had been warned that Colombia could be a dangerous place but were travelling with a Colombian. However, the hotel has private security who are present but discreet, helping to make guests feel welcome and secure. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and was a very good experience. The hotel is quite new, rooms with TV, Air Conditioning, security box and a good bath. However, the bed was not soft as expected (we requested a new one to be able to sleep). Rooms are big with a
The hotel has a casino, a good american breakfast (buffet with juices, fruits, omelet and so on), a nice swimming pool in the third floor but the most notable is the excellent hotel staff (mainly the one that assist on the breakfasts).

They picked me up at the airport, and offer free wi-fi which is good. However, this place is way, way overpriced. In fact, cartagena hotels in general are terrible overpriced. For some reason, they are able to get away with new york and Miami hotel prices. Most of the hotels in the central district or near the beach are $250 and up!
I have no idea why anyone would want to come to colombia and pay these exorbitant and outrageous prices. These prices are commensurate with zurich switerland hotels, which is the most expensive place I have stayed so far.
Nearby in Barranquilla, I am staying at nicer hotels for 40% of the cost of cartagena. So if you feel like blowing lots of money on an average hotel, cartagena is the place for you.

i needed one night after an event at the Hilton, without breaking the bank, with a good swimming pool and a touch more local feel than the Hilton, and ideally within walking. It scored tops on all these. Only odd thing was other reviewers raved about breakfast, while I could hardly see mine due not traveling with a microscope.
