This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. Staff are really helpful and friendly. It is really nice to stay at such a lovely old building. Although it was very cold weather outside, the heating system (really old large radiators) worked very well and the room was cosy. Bathroom was enormous with a good shower. Hotel is in an ideal place - just outside the city, with bus stop to the city within a couple of minutes walk (journey time 15mins), also on bus route to Bath. Excellent location.

Lovely hotel to look at, rooms are a touch small but if you just want to sleep and squeeze into the shower, they are fine. They are clean, lots of towels, nothing else to complain about (no aircon, but it wasn't that hot so no problem either). Excellent staff, really helpful. The food was just out of this world - not cheap but really one of the best meals I've ever had. Worth returning for that alone. No lift.

We needed to stay in Bristol for a few days and whilst searching for a hotel came across the Berkeley Square. We thought the cost seemed reasonable and we thought 'it would do' for a few nights. We were pleasantly surprised and it was really lovely. In a good part of the town, near shops and transport but tucked away in a leafy square - perfect! Would definitely recommend.

I arrived at about 7:30 and was greeted by the friendly owner and her even friendlier Labradors. I unfortunately arrived in the dark so couldn't see much of the grounds but what I could see looked lovely. The room was small (it was a single room) but comfortable, clean and well laid out with everything I needed. The owner was very helpful with information about local eateries and my overall stay was lovely - I was only sorry that I wasn't able to sample the breakfast as my flight was so early. I would certainly recommend it to others and would indeed stay there again.

We have stayed twice when travelling from Bristol Airport. Each time has been a pleasure with comfortable rooms and an easy 4-mile trip to the airport next morning, great when we had an early flight to catch. The hotel is very welcoming and the staff appear very efficient. Quick check-in and our rooms have been spotless and well-equipped.
The last time, we decided to eat there and got a lovely surprise. Well-priced meals from a lovely menu and the food was well presented and way above standard airport hotel fare that we have become used to. If I lived locally, I'd want to go there to eat more often. It's one reason we'll most likely book the Holiday Inn in preference to another hotel next time we're flying from Bristol.
So far, two stays and very pleased with both.
