This property is more like a large bed-and-breakfast than a hotel. If you are spoiled on all of the amenities of a corporate chain hotel, this isn't the place for you. The bedrooms and bathrooms are minimal, but the point is to spend time in the common areas, playing games, doing puzzles, and visiting/meeting with other guests. It was a wonderful and quiet getaway for our family. The breakfasts were outstanding! The service was great. The maid even tucked in our daughter's stuffed animals when she came in to straighten our room! We can't wait to come back.

I would recommend Oak Hill to anyone! I stayed with my 7 yr old daughter for 3 nights and had the best time. Months in advance Deb and Shel were calling me to offer help and suggestions for our trip. When we got there it was raining and Shel met us at our car with an umbrella and brought our luggage in. We had a flight delay and got in late, but they waited up for us and then set the table so we could have a bite to eat. Breakfast every morning was delicious, seriously perfect! I love how they used local produce as well. I could go on forever, but bottom line is that this is a beautiful old home, carefully restored and furnished by inn keepers who tend to every last detail, yet make you feel the comfort and ease of visiting family. My daughter and I hope to come back soon!!

We had a great time. We had an amazing view from our lodge room. Check in was quick and easy. The only issue we had which really wasn't an issue but Mother Nature was the power outage due to a massive thunderstorm and downed power lines on the morning we were leaving. The staff did a great job, provided coffee and breakfast for all the guests (the kitchen had a generator).

What a charming and beautiful Inn nestled in the mountains. The staff was so lovely and kind. It is on beautiful grounds and there was every attention to detail. We were able to roast s'mores around a fire pit in the evening.
It was the perfect getaway!!!
