Loved this place so much that I stayed an extra night. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful in a jungle like setting. The staff was extremely polite and took great care of us. The restaurant was delicious and we had breakfast and dinner both nights. I can't wait to come back and visit.

This hotel is the nearest place you can stay for visit Chichen Itza, there is a special entry for the guests of the hotel. Visit early so you will have all the archeological zone at your own, before the tours arrive from Merida and Cancún.
The bungalows are surrounded by extraordinary vegetation, and all the threes have the name of the plant and fruit they give. Amazing, and extraordinary.

The welcome we received here was unbelievably lovely ... Alex picked us up in a golf buggy from the car park and was so friendly, and told us about everything we needed to know. Next came welcome drinks, then more! Unreal. Most staff were equally as friendly and pleased to help. The restaurant cooked food we requested as our children didn't fancy what was on the menu. The setting of this hotel is amazing - it is so picturesque, only minutes from Chichen Itza. Well worth the money!

"I can't say enough good things about this hotel."
After a long drive on highway 180 libre, stopping at every towns speedbumps (topes) and avoiding the Mexican suicidal dogs that trotted out in front of the car every other kilometer, we pulled into the beautiful front yard of the Hacienda Chichen Resort and Spa. While checking in a waiter brought us a cool refreshing green drink with a pineapple slice served in a wine glass. That instantly set the tone, and the stress of the road dissolved.
I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. The rooms are well kept and clean cabins scattered amongst the botanical tropical forest that are the grounds to the hotel. Waking up to the cacophony of the birds of the forest was a treat. Just walking to the cabin was a delight in seeing the wide variety of the flora and fauna of the Yucatan, with the wonderful spicy scent that sometimes accompanies it.
The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The friendly staff was helpful and seemed genuinely nice.
The restaurant was pricey but the food was excellent, and not having to leave the grounds made it worth the price. Our family of four did not have anything to eat that wasn't excellent in the 3 meals we had there.
You can access Chichen Itza by a short walk. We were able to get there shortly after 8am when only a handful of people are there, before the tour buses arrive. After walking the awesome ruins, being able to swim in the large pool was a huge treat. In short, if your are going to Chichen you HAVE to stay here!
