"Lovely grounds, teeny room :("
The hotel is a lovely grand building, we used the facilities and were impressed with them, the leisure centre was lovely and clean and a credit to them. Our stay was slightly disappointing as we were put in the tiniest of rooms with a wall for a view. It was so hot and stuffy, we couldn't get any air in the room, or move around it comfortably! The actual room was clean and tidy, we didn't dine in the restaurant so can't comment on food, we did purchase drinks from the golf club, two single spirits and mixers (£12.25) we were served by very professional staff in the golf terrace and also enjoyed a breakfast baguette there too. Overall it was a lovely weekend we had, I feel a bit let down with the tiny room which was over the staff smoking/bin/compactor/delivery area, we had two bad nights of sleep because of the noise and heat. I would come back but request a front facing room! The grounds were beautiful and well kept.

"Great for Blenheim Palace"
Lovely place. Everyone really friendly and new landlord looking to improve facilities. Close to Blenheim Palace but beware no taxis so you have to drive. Room nicely decorated and modern. Couldn't get any water from shower in morning but plenty of hot water for a bath. Room stuffy as window wouldn't stay open but didn't spoil it.

"Value for Money"
The room was cosy but comfortable and we had a shower which was good. We had breakfast on two mornings and it was only £5.00 a head and beautifully cooked. Only small criticism I would make was the lack of toiletries, only two small soaps were provided, but the price is cheaper than a lot of Premier Inns and Travelodges and a much nicer ambience! Good value for money overall

Pocket Guide: Oxfordshire Chipping Norton 3 stars Hotels

Chipping Norton is a quiet market town in the rolling Cotswold Hills. Peppered with medieval buildings, it makes a convenient base for exploring this picturesque area. The Crown and Cushion hotel was once owned by The Who drummer Keith Moon and a bronze age stone circle, The Rollright Stones, can be found a couple of miles outside town. A market is held every Wednesday.
