"Great boutique hotel"
Loved the hotel! The location so close to little Italy and we even walked to 9-11 memorial the next day. The most comfortable hotel bed I have probably ever slept on!! The pillow top was the best! Spacious for NYC!

"Great location. Decent enough stay"
The hotel was a little quirky with the rooms named after actors or comedians from yesteryear. We got the Milton Berle room. Of the three desk clerks we met, the AM clerk (a female) was a bit gruff, but the evening guy (Jay) was great. We got there early and knew we'd likely have to park our bags until the room was ready, but she just looked up and said "you can't check in till 3" in a very unpleasant way. There was no place to secure the bags, except in the breakfast room (looked like a factory break room). The room was reasonably spacious (we had a 2 queen room), but the linens were incomplete (no top sheet on one bed) and pillows worn out. The room was very warm and tough to get cooled down. Ran out of hot water on Day 2 at 9 am. Also, the maid entered our room to make it up despite the DO NOT Disturb sign on the. On the plus side, free wifi and free breakfast (we did not partake) Considering we spent little time in the room, it was adequate for our needs.

"4 day stay in NYC"
The hotel at first glance can seem daunting because it's in the middle of a very busy Chinatown. It's a very short walk (about 3 mins) from Grand St subway station, and once you get your bearings with the New York Transit system you realize that you are in a great location to move up and down Manhattan easily and visit all the sights. The highlight is that if you cross the street you are in Little Italy. This was a massive highlight. There were so many great bars and places to eat that we did not have time to see them all and experience everything. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is basic but it does the job. The rooms are reasonable, and the hotel had great quality Wi-Fi. The location was a little bit loud at night (the sounds of garbage trucks going by, and some ill placed Verizon construction including piledriving at 3am) but I'm not sure that's a constant feature of the hotel. The price of the room was very reasonable and considering the benefits vs the drawbacks this hotel was a great choice for our party of 11.

"Close to everything"
Friendly front-of-the-hotel staff, relaxed atmosphere, helpful housekeeping. Access to major subway lines in under 10 minutes. Stock your mini-fridge with Whole Foods from across the street, or eat at any one of 3 Lower East Side institutions just east of the hotel. Culturally, there's an independent bookstore nearby on Prince Street, and a a string of movie theatres within minutes of each other. For my taste, the ideal place to stay.

"Hotel with Character in a Lively Part of Town"
Although there were some issues at the hotel--no elevator, construction, very small rooms--the staff was more gracious and helpful in overcoming the difficulties than in any (luxury) hotel I've experienced. They are all friendly and almost instantaneous in solving whatever problems or needs arise.

"Felt like a New Yorker!"
This was my first experience renting out an apartment and I really liked it. I felt like a local and not like a tourist. I have done holiday rental in France but I would like to have this experience again. The place itself was clean and well-furnished. We were able to cook there and best of all we had free wifi!

"Could not find a more comfortable apartment"
First impression was how friendly and helpful our greeter was! We arrive shortly after noon and our greeter was able to get us in the apartment straightaway. The apartment was much larger than the pictures on Expedia.com and had all the cookware we needed. The bed was comfortable and the AC kept the apartment cool for when we got in from the humidity outside.
