Used the Hawthorns as a base for attending the Ryder Cup. It exceeded all expectations - fabulous staff, lovely rooms and dining facilities, and tremendous location. Cannot recommend this B&B high enough - it was absolutely outstanding and was the highlight of our 12 day England/Wales/Scotland driving honeymoon.

Chris and the crew where very welcoming, and nothing was an issue. We arrived in very late and Chris even organised us a feed at a very late hour.
Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Love the traditional Scottish breakfast.
Thanks guys it was great. Ps: love the spa in the room.

Not disappointed with the initial sight of this beautiful building and whilst the public rooms and the bedroom allocated are spacious, they are more shabby than chic. Some upgrading needed and they would deserve more than a 3 star rating and the price they are currently asking would reflect what is on offer.
Breakfast rather disappointing but meals in the stable bar very tasty.
A quiet location which suited and easy car journey to where I needed to be.
If in the same area again would probably try somewhere else but worth a stay if cost is not a problem for what is just 3 star accomodation.

Hotel easy to find although a few miles out of Glasgow it, stopped overnight on way to Glen Nevis. Staff were friendly and welcoming, room clean and homely, had family room with lots of space. Ate in friendly lounge bar, food good. Lovely breakfast. Would go again and recommend to others. Had three children with me and they enjoyed it too.

We booked Strathblane country house hotel as we were visiting Scotland for the Commonwealth Games 2014. We arrived late in the afternoon due to attending an event before hand. When we arrived we were welcomed by lovely staff who attended to our every need. There were cleaning products outside our room which were removed straight away once we had reported them and the room was comfortable and pleasant. The surroundings of the hotel were stunningly beautiful. Breakfast was of outstanding quality and the variety on offer was superb. We also stayed at the hotel for one evening meal during our 3 day stay and was blown away with the quality of the food, a complete highlight of our trip. The staff were extemely pleasant and very helpful to us whilst in Scotland, they were very informative on places to see and go and local public transport that we could use. The only downside to our stay at Strathblane country hotel was a clash with an event they were hosting (i believe it may have been a birthday celebration or a wedding reception) music was very loud till late of a night and other guests were extremely loud throughout the evening and early hours in the morning, running up and down corridors and banging doors, staff did not address this to our knowledge and this interrupted our final nights sleep before our long drive back to the West Midlands.

This hotel was ideally placed for me - with overnight parking in the secure hosptal carpark costing close to nothing.
The entrance is through a nice coffee bar where you can get breakfast if needed and all the staff where helpful.
All the staff where nice and I was even escorted to my room and shown around. It was massive.
NIce modern Kitchen - free teas coffees etc, modern TV, and a nice modern bathroom.
It is on a main road, however the curtains are black out and the double glazing worked really well.
I'd definitely stay here again.
My only gripe was I had a bit of an issue at checkout, but this was easily solved by the very plesant staff

Nice hotel close to merchant city and to The Barony venue. We stayed there as attending a wedding at a venue nearby. Very nice room, bathroom ok, helpful staff - the cleaning lady booked us a taxi. Good breakfast, very helpful cook, prepared breakfast for baby. However would not recommend with baby & pram because of the access to the room via staircase and no travel cot bed provided had to take our with us.
