Took both parents, wife and two kids. Got two rooms, each with three single beds. It was a bit tight, but just fine for one night. The staff was very courteous and efficient and even spoke some English. The location, about twenty minutes from the castle, peace park, and shopping was perfect for us. The hotel is next to the entertainment district, but there was no noise or other issues. And just a short walk from okonomi mura! For the, very, discounted price we got through expedia, I thought it was a fantastic deal. The only thing is, expedia says it is a non smoking building, but here it meant that non smoking rooms (floors?) are available. It is not/not entirely smoke free. I would stay here again.

At the heart of Hiroshima, the Mitsui Garden hotel is within an easy walk of the Hiroshima Memorial park along the beautiful Peace Boulevard. Excellent choice hotel to explore this fascinating city with many excellent restaurants nearby. From Hiroshima Station with the Shinkansen, the cab fare costs on average US$10 and there are also many tramway stations nearby with easy connections to Miyajima. Very clean rooms with views of the city and nearby bay. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating with maps of the city and tips to get around. Would go back to Hiroshima. An important city on a visit to Japan.

The Hotel Jal City was all I expected and more. The staff spoke enough English for me to get by, and were EXTREMELY helpful in all situations. They called taxis when I needed them, made restaurant reservations, and arranged my getting back to the airport. The room was small by American standards, with no space for clothes, but the computerized toilet and bathroom more than made up for it. I wanted to take my toilet seat home!!!! When I wasnt feeling well one day, the manager even came up to my room to ask if there was anything the front desk could do for me. I would stay here again, if I were ever back in Hiroshima. It was a GREAT place. The on site restaurant was spendy, but the food was good.
