My husband and I spent several days in Kansas City. We stayed at three different locations. This was our first destination. It is a beautiful facility in a great location if you want to walk around the Plaza or visit the Nelson Atkins. I am from Kansas City and found the book left on our bed that detailed some of the famous citizens from the past was fascinating. I think very few individuals that are from Kansas City know that there actually were people named Winstead. The room was very quiet and relaxing. We loved the porch off of our room. Fortunately we didn't have neighbors. There were three porches sided by side. We were able to enjoy the area by ourselves. Don't expect a big room, but a cozy place with lovely touches. The fresh cut roses from the garden were lovely. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was very good. Different than what you would get at a regular hotel.

We were in town to see the Indians play the royals and it was a great time! Friendly staff and very helpful! Gave us the number to a cab driver who was cheaper than a regular service and he was awesome! Clean hotel, nice rooms, great patio with pool and hotub. Can't wait to stay again!
