Enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Cove Hotel. Our room was excellent and had an incredible view of Manzanillo Bay. The Staff was absolutely great and very attentive and hard woking. The food at the restaurant was very good, we had breakfast there everyday and had supper there several times. Booked some tours at the hotel to Colima and Barra de Navidad both tours were great.

The week I stayed it rained everyday and the beach was not open to swimming due to poor conditions due to the tropical storm. The pool is very nice wish I had more time to spend there. The restaurant offers daily buffet or a la Carte and food is excellent. The view of the bay is worth the stay, very relaxing.

"All Good but need improvement on Internet service"
I liked everything about the hotel except they had terrible internet service. If they improve on the internet connection, I would go back to stay with them anytime but if not, I will have to find another hotel...

Only disappointments were: 1. No one to pick us up from airport to transport us to resort, and return us to airport on departure date. 2. We stayed there for 12 days, and when changes occurred for New Year's Eve outdoor event (due to weather conditions), no one informed us that tickets were necessary, and unfortunately we missed out on the occasion :o(
Was extremely pleasing for us to meet so many warm, friendly, and affectionate Mexican families - every reason we went to Mexico and stayed at Gran Festivall :o)

This hotel is located on a road containing several local hotels located directly on the beach with easy access. We enjoyed breakfast outside on a lower level, which provided very nice views of the entire bay. The beach is gray at this side of the bay and the water clean and calm, but the busy, popular part of the beach is a reasonable walk from the hotel.
New Year's Eve was affected not only by the local fireworks which started early and continued long after midnight, but some disco around the bay was so loud with low base resonating that even ear plugs didn't work. Ha! And that continued until who knows when.
I would stay at this hotel again, as it was reasonably priced and clean.

"Hotel is good for sleeping, that's it, but cheap"
The beach is not suitable for swimming, the surf is super strong and comes up over the sand so you can't lay out. We bought cleaning supplies at Walmart because it wasn't very clean. It's not close to a lot of things, you'll have to walk/bus/taxi. There were no three-prong plugs so I had to sit and charge my laptop in the lobby most days. They lost internet connection frequently (I like to check email/news/messages in the mornings but would need to ask them to reset the modem). The shower floods, get an extra towel to sop up the water. They give you soap and two towels upon check-in, nothing else. The A/C works well, the beds and pillows are hard, there's a good size fridge in the room, and the TV even had a few English channels. The pool is clean. Staff were lovely and helped us out, holding our bags after we checked out until our flight arrived and opening our wine with a knife because we didn't bring an opener. The hot water always worked, the bathroom smelled really bad just bring a candle or some incense. We bused and then taxi'd down to La Boquita beach to swim and lay out. You'll be approached a lot to buy things. Senor Julio Tacos and El Caballito restaurants were fabulous. Senor Sushi was not.
