This is the place to stay if you want to truly experience Maui and stay away from the giant hotels. Very private and landscaped beautifully. The beach is right at your doorstep. We felt like we were on our own private trip staying at the Mauian.

We wanted a nice place to stay while visiting Maui and in particular Paia. This place is a 4 unit, built in 2005, condo-style place. No elevators, so if you can't walk up a flight of steps you should pass on this place. Otherwise, its
so roomy, it had everything except a pool and shower caps! But I brought my own cap and the beach is 50 yards
away in front of Mama's Fish House. Btw, if you stay here, you MUST have a meal at Mama's. Its one of the TOP rated restaurants on Maui! The seafood is caught that morning! The bed was firm and comfortable, lots of extra pillows if you need them, plus the kitchen had everything to allow you to bring in groceries and cook for yourself. It also had 1.5 baths in our unit (Gardenia) which was the smaller unit of the 4 but I liked it better since it was in back and garage sounds or road sounds were blocked/muffled. You can BBQ if you pick up some steaks or seafood. Our room had
and patio table + 4 chairs out side our sliding door entrance. I will plan to stay here next time we are on Maui if I can book it.

Me, my wife and kids stayed at Noelani for a week recently. I must say we were extremely pleased with the hotel, staff & most importantly the location. Not only was it very close to the beach with a gorgeous view of the ocean right from our "veranda", but it was pretty close to Kaanapali as well. That means less than 4 miles from Whaler's Village and some great restaurants. We stayed in unit number 102 which was facing the ocean. It was peaceful, comfortable and clean. Our experience couldn't have been better! A great place to stay and we definitely recommend this hotel to all...

My family and I enjoyed our stay with Hono Koa. We got an ocean front suite where our front entrance was walking out to the beach! The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Although there was no AC, we had our fans and sliding doors open to the ocean breeze. The beach is a bit rough around high tide but a short distance drive to Kapalua will take you to a nice bay for snorkeling. There were turtles near the coral around mid afternoon. And the sun deck was nice to lounge around sunset. I will definitely stay here again! P.S. they offer a washer and dryer unit in the room that's free of charge!

We have been returning to this hotel for years. We enjoy the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. From the moment you walk into the lobby, time just seems to slow down. The hotel is older and we appreciate that it is not your typical commercial resort, it is not fancy or pretentious. The rooms are a nice size, clean and thoughtfully designed. The hotel grounds have a comfortable glorious big backyard kind of feel with a delightful tropical fragrance of Plumeria trees; and the beach is just steps away....

We stayed at the Sands of Kahana in August for our son's wedding. The management was very helpful with all of our requests. The unit had constant breezes and was always comfortable. We participated in the free activities offered at the resort and had a great time learning to make leis and hula dance. Great resort and great management!
