We decided on Country Willows based on the Tripadvisor reviews we'd read, so thought it only fair to share our experience as well. From the moment we drove onto the gravel driveway leading up the house we know that we were in for a treat. Kara greeted us when we rang the office and showed us to our gorgeous room. Wow, we've stayed in some pretty nice B and B's, but this is at the top of the range if you like cozy, classy and quiet. There's a folder in the main house with menus of most of the restaurants in town, coffee and tea available throughout the day in a little self serve nook, and a great walking trail just to the side of the buildings. The place is just far enough away from downtown to give you a great country feel but close enough to be super convenient. Daniel, the innkeeper makes an amazing breakfast and has great tips on stores in town and about what goes on during the year.
To say we'll be back is an understatement...we really enjoyed Ashland and could not have asked for a better experience.

"Hot fresh baked cookies and frozen milk before bed"
It is hard to write about this hotel in so few words, but the furnishings in the cabins were top of the line, with original and high quality artwork with a modern bathroom, big comfy bed and a huge fireplace to warm our toes. The wine bar greeting in the log cabin lodge was superb. The complementary biscuits and gravy for breakfast was amazing. The large comfortable lobby with fireplace and comfortable sofas and the expansive green lawn with Adirondack chairs made finding areas to relax an easy must. The sound of the river at night. Fishing by the river....I could go on and on. But when they called us for fresh, hot baked chocolate cookies from the oven at 8:30 pm. and offered us frozen glasses of milk, we were sold forever. Finding out later that this place catered to the big movie stars of the thirties, seems like no surprise. I'd like to keep this place a secret but if it helps the lodge to remain open for my next visit, then I will write again and again. The hostess was supreme and the staff perfect. We will be visiting often.

Have stayed there 3 times now. We have explored the areas around Ashland and Medford, including Jacksonville and the other smaller towns, looking for a place to retire.
We have found it! Paperwork in process, and hopefully we will live there by next summer.

Service was excellent. Breakfast was exceptional. Loved the homemade peanut butter cookies available all day, and the afternoon tea, with goodies. Get ready to eat well. And the room was large with spa tub. Very comfortable. No complaints at all.

Excellent newer hotel owned by Hilton. A++ staff. Free FULL breakfast. Free weekdays dinner. Suite was fully furnished down to pots, utensils and silverware. A little off the beaten path, but close to intersection of I-5. I would highly recommend staying at this all suite hotel.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times recently. Each stay was pleasant; the hotel is quiet and comfortable. The indoor lounge area is quite nice to spend time, if you don't want to be stuck in your room. There are several TV's for viewing, a bistro for food and drinks. There's also an outdoor patio/lounge area and an indoor pool. During one of our visits we enjoyed breakfast on the patio. During another visit we watched a baseball game in the lounge area while enjoying a wine and appetizer from the bistro.

I was very happy with our stay here. The staff that checked us into the hotel as well as the staff that supplied the full breakfast were very friendly and nice. The front desk staff made sure to ask if we were happy with our room when we were passing by after checking in. The room was very clean and was a nice size. We were very impressed by the full breakfast in the AM.
