There are many tiny hotel rooms in NYC that are portrayed larger than they really are. The Pod does the exact opposite and it is brilliant. I loved it. I liked that the room was void of all the unnecessary extras that just make clutter. I will definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely stay at Pod 51. The staff is great and always willing to help. Great location and close walking distance to the subway. Rooms are small but you're not going to New York to stay in your room! Wake up early, grab a latte from the cafe and enjoy it on the rooftop before you take on the magical city!

"Great location for people new to the city "
The staff were extremely accommodating, allowing us to check in 3 hours early. They were very helpful and welcoming. The room was fairy small but for a compact hotel, it managed to do well with the space it had, and for us the room size was far from an issue. The hotel lobby is merged with a Starbucks, which for us was another advantage, and is a 1 minute walk away from the Empire State Building, about 5 minutes to the nearest subway stop and 15 minutes from Times Square. What made this stay special were the staff - they were incredibly helpful in guiding us on how to get to JFK airport, and let us securely store our bags for the day after check out.

"Nice hotel and location for NYC and the price"
The staff was great and very helpful for my first stay in NYC. My only complaint was the limited TV stations both in number (about 25) and quality (several with local trash). Especially disappointed I was not able to get Fox News- the highest rated cable news station but did see MSNBC one of the lowest. Also no movie channels. I expected more options from a hotel in the big apple than I get from hotels every where else in the country.

"sorry hotel is closing"

"Quite "
Is it maybe wall thickness that blocked noise from neighbors? Quietness gave me peace of mind and good sleep. Air condition was noisy though.
