"Clean, modern hotel in a great area"
Stayed for 9 nights on the 7th floor, 2 adults. Pros: -Weekday dinner buffet: got dinner once- chicken california with corn niblets, bread, and italian wedding soup. Dinner itself was good but the soup was lukewarm and SUPER salty. Good for a free dinner though & the kitchen staff were quick to refill empty buffet trays. -Breakfast: Got breakfast three times and enjoyed the breakfast buffet more than dinner. There were plenty of nice options and the breakfast was not always the same. The 3 times we went, they offered omelettes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cooked ham, biscuits, hashbrowns, french toast sticks, fresh fruit, cereal, orange/apple juice, and bagels. Very satisfied with the breakfast. -Room service was very efficient and thorough (they even washed our dishes and neatly arranged our shoes by the door!) I read previous reviews stating room service had not been done or done poorly. I never experienced poor service and to those saying they did not receive room service- I noticed they came at certain times- 8:30am-9pm, 11:30pm, 12pm, and 3:00pm. -New, modern feel of the hotel cleanliness -Complimentary drinks in the lobby (hot chocolate, coffee, teas) with many varieties of sweeteners -Rooftop deck -Spacious room & kitchenette Cons: -Staff seemed forced to be nice and "welcome us home", not genuine at all. -Long elevator wait time in the morning -Bathroom door was a sliding, non-locking door -View of offices on 7th floor Overall, enjoyed my stay.

"Hampton Inn on W 35th and 6th Ave"
We stayed at the Hampton Inn for two nights from August 17-19th. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is quite small, and can get cramped very easy when there are many guests trying to check in and eat breakfast. The staff was very friendly and even let us leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out because we wanted to explore NYC before we left. The coffee which they served was very good and even gave us to go lids while we were out an about. Even though NYC is the city that never sleeps, you could not hear any noise from our room which was great. The hotel is in a great central location and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was even better than expected.

"Fab hotel in Hell's Kitchen"
This was the third time I've stayed at the Skyline and it was as good as always. Conveniently located just a ten minute walk from Times Square, this is a budget hotel with 5 star attitude. Very friendly helpful staff, clean spacious rooms, lovely pool, comfortable beds, great food and service in the restaurant - all you need for a stay in NYC. I will definitely be back again and would recommend The Skyline to everyone.

Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Its western half is home to Manhattan's largest venues: the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden. In the Garment District, designers try to stay a cut above fashion's latest trends. Nearby, Hell's Kitchen is hot thanks to Restaurant Row. In one block on West 46th, diners can dash from Bangkok to Brazil.
