"Lafayette Hotel was a great experience."
We arrived in New Orleans and from the time that we set foot at the Lafayette Hotel we were treated like royalty. They were very accommodating, helping us with valet parking and getting a luggage cart for us, loading it and delivering and unloading in our room, getting ice for us, more towels....anything we needed. The staff was awesome and helped us with anything we asked for. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel, staff and good customer service. We will always choose to stay at the Lafayette Hotel when visiting New Orleans. They made our experience great!!!

"Gorgeous hotel"
My first time in New Orleans, stayed here because the convention I was attending was being held here. One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. Huge, clean, absolutely gorgeous! The resturants on site were all fantastic, and the saltwater pool outside on the 5th floor was great! I had a corner room, and it was larger than my apartment back at home, lol. Everything about my stay here was perfect...I would look to stay in a Hyatt Regency on any of my future travels after having been here. also..the hotel was only a 15 minute walk from the French quarter, so very reasonably located for tourists!

"Queen & Crescent"
My wife and I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. If you're looking for a hotel like a Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott this is not it. We try to avoid those types if we can because they all seem alike and have no personality. We try to stay at B & B's and the Q & C is as close as a hotel can come. It has a rustic feel with exposed bricks on the walls. The rooms are different sizes and shapes. The bathrooms reminded us of the ones we had in France last year. The Q & C has a feel when you enter it of walking into a small hotel in England with a bar close to the check-in desk. It's very popular for the after work crowd. The rooms have some nice touches like a mirror in the bathroom that tilts, 32" flat screen TVs, extravagant linens according to my wife. These comments need to tempered by the fact the hotel has just gone through a complete renovation and there are things that they are catching up with that need to be fixed. We had to change rooms because the AC wasn't working right. We happened to talk to a maintenance man who explained that some of the valves had not been turned on before the ceiling was restored. There were little things like a screw missing in a vent in the ceiling and a light bulb that needed replacing. We had a chance to talk to the owner one night while sitting around the bar and he told us they have been working to get everything in order. We're in our 60's so we tend to cut a little slack but we like the place and will stay again.

"Old New Orleans Ambiance"
This was my husband and I's 18th anniversary and we were looking for something romantic and old style New Orleans. We didn't want anything flashy and new. We were looking for something right down in the middle of the French Quarter and this hotel met all those requirements and the price was great also.
