My family and I were taking a relative to see New York City/surrounding areas for the first time and thought (rightfully so) that Brooklyn would be a great neighborhood for rest stops, itinerary planning and meals. We loved everything about our one-night stay at The Hampton Inn! The room was clean and our beds super comfortable. The complimentary hot water/tea/coffee station in the reception area really came in handy as someone in our group was just beginning to feel under the weather. I typically walk around with a water bottle so I really appreciated the water fountain as well.

This section of 37th ST does not look impressive and there is construction across the street from the hotel that adds to the congestion. That's it. Everything else was positive! From the Front desk to the personnel attending the dining area and the housekeeping crew, ALL were personable and attentive. The hotel is either brand new or recently overhauled and it is kept clean. Our room should be in some architectural or design magazine. How they got a king size be bed, pull out couch, closet, sink, stove, microwave, tiny table that unfolds to a small dining table, desk, etc into a very small room without seeming crowded, I don't know - but they did it and made it look good!
The street may not look great, but the location is fantastic. We walked to everything we did in Time Square/Theatre district and were 2 blocks away from Penn Station. All this, with better rates (notice I didn't say cheap, nothing is cheap in Manhattan) than others around it.

"Very friendly hotel centrally located in the city"
First time in New York, and what an experience. The hotel is located within easy access to Broadway and Timrs Square. To the north of the hotel and again easy walking distance is Central Park, a great place to chill out from the hustle and bustle of the city,

I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this property was. I spend months every year in hotels and this had to be among the top experience overall that I had this year. In particular, was the staff. Each of them were happy, positive, friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming. Whatever you're doing there, please keep it up and teach the rest of the world!

The room was small with a king bed, but comfortable because it if very close to manhattan chinatown. There was no fridge or microwave, so it limits the room to overnight stay only. That didn't present a problem because that was the purpose of our stay. The breakfast was very good, and there were fruits in the lobby if you had a night time craving.

From the moment I walked into the lobby I felt welcomed and valued. I interacted with three associates at the front desk and have never been given better service and I have stayed at many of the most expensive hotels. Note I did not say the best - the Hampton Inn United Nations is one of best.
Keep up the great work - I'll be back,
