the hotel is nice enough and situated in a convenient location, but the owner is weird, so this review is not for the hotel, but the owner... while he took the time to demonstrate the use of the shower and explained the use of the safe, the very basic thing of providing a map was neglected - i was told to go to the plaza where there would be "better maps".
after roaming around for a few hours and stumbling upon the plaza, i got the map but forgot where the hotel was! by luck or by chance, i ran into the owner, who explained to me that he owned two hotels and that one was better than the other. i was not staying at the better one! is this not bad etiquette in Colombia?
also, i met his afternoon staff upon returning and he was nice enough to give me a map of the area! the place is nice, clean and convenient, but the owner has strange manners, with all the options in hotels and hostels in the area, why put money in his pocket.

The staff was so friendly and accomodating, the decor is beautiful, the whole place was clean and comfortable. Loved the gentle sound of the fountians in the courtyard. Good location close to museums, churches, etc. and good restaurants nearby. A bit of a walk uphill from the main center, but I can always use the exercise.

I was in this hotel during my trip in Bogota, it's situated a walk distance from all big attraction in the old city (gold museum, monserrat, plaza della republica etc etc).
the room was comfortable and clean but little bit small. the staff really nice and helpful in particular a girl at the reception call Andrea. only problem there is only one person that speak english fluently, but they can undrestand my horrible spanish and advise me on everything i can need.
i would stay here again if i will come back to bogota!

actual room is lovely fully equipped and clean - wasnt cleaned the next day though and also was supposed to include continental breakfast though we did not recieve this for the 2 days we stayed - also was hard to communicate with hotel staff - only one lady on at a time and spoke no english at all - thou was nice and tried to be helpful.
Area is very ddgy at night but fine duringthe day - just make sure if you are out you cab back and don't wander around there at night.
Also we were delayed when trying to check out as we paid throughthis site it was prepaid - but it was hard to try and convey this to staff who were trying to charge us again.
