"Rude front desk person."
Over all the experience was just OK. The stay for me was ruined by one front desk person named Corene. She was rude, and abrupt when asked for a key to use the business office, her reply " USE YOUR OWN KEY!" no where was it stated that my room key could access this area. I have stayed at many hotels where it is necessary to obtain a separate key to use the business area. She was online shopping for shoes as I could see as we walked away from the front desk. She also was very abrupt in answering a question about the shuttle service my daughter had asked. When I complained to the other desk person, Cherisse, who was terrific, she apologized. Corene later paid for our dinner meal and apologize too, I shook her hand and accepted the apology, that however does not condone the way she conducted her earlier behavior. I work in customer service, and if I treated a patient that way, I would lose my job.

"Great hotel to relax "
Overall my stay was great. The bed was comfortable and the room cool. I didn't like that they kept the music by the pool playing until 11pm every night, I was in town for a conference that started at 7am 😕. Also the wifi was kinda slow and we had the misfortune of experiencing a power outage due to a dust storm. Otherwise the pool was great, the overall look of the hotel is beautiful, and there are hummingbirds that call the courtyard home! Location is great too as its near the mall and the camelback mountains.

"Historical hotel at Downtown Phoenix"
The San Carlos is an historical work of art of early 20th century full of memorabilia. If you are willing to exchange some confort for the chance of been in a hunted hotel, this is for you. If you are traveling with family, forget it! The rooms are disined with 1928 style and space in mind, so they are little and the bathrooms are "complicated" to deal with (almost like airplane bathrooms). On the other hand, its location is perfect for convention travellers. It's in the middle of downtown and you can use the City Light Train to travel the city without rentiong a car.

"Convenient close to ASU"
Building is nice, staff generally cordial, rooms missing refrigerator/microwave for long time guests. AC is noisy and lack temp controller. Did not revive housekeeping for two days and no coffee etc for one day. Management has to review above concerns. Price was OK.

"Nice hotel. Close to ASU. "
I will be staying here for the next four years when I come visit my daughter at ASU. It is very conveniently located to ASU and many restaurants. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to pick me up when I got lost. However, I would suggest the housekeeping have a form of guest room check out. I had housekeeping knocking at my door at 8:00am in the morning. This was the only day I was actually able to sleep in. With check out being at 12pm there was no reason for her to come knocking so early in the morning. She knocked so loudly on the doors I was able to hear it several doors down. The guests seem to be in my shoes shoes as I could hear the two rooms next to me stumbling to their feet as not to have her come in. Other than that incident I give it 5 out of 5.

"hotel experience"
Hotel nice. Employees very accommodating. Carpets could use a good cleaning and breakfast could be a little more variation from day to day, but rest of stay very nice until last night when a family came in and their kids were running the halls screaming at 6 inh the morning.
