Our second time in this hotel! We remembered this hotel and nice but that first room was quite small, but we liked the location and felt the size would not be an issue. We requested a room for 3 adults and were pleasantly surprised to get a suite. It was very comfortable with tv's in both rooms (which we never used - much too busy!) This time, both rooms had plenty of space and we were really happy!
The breakfast buffet is terrific! Plenty of food and plenty of choice. The coffee machine was strange though and did not give consistent good coffee, well, it really didn't give good coffee at all. But it was ok...There were no complaints about the food though!
Train station is almost just across the street so the whole of Tuscany is at this hotel's doorstep. Wonderful location for this. Also close to the main shopping street and about a 15 minutes walk to the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Duomo.
We never tried the bar though, we meant to, but were always worn out when we returned so I cannot comment on the bar, except to say it looks very welcoming!
If we are ever lucky enough to return to Pisa, we will definitely also return to this hotel.

Stayed In Pisa for a week. My sister's birthday was on the 15th September. The hotel was convenient for the station as we were making trips to Florence, Venice and Lucca. Very friendly family run hotel. The owner and her son spoke good English and provided lots of information about Piaa and where to eat. John, the night porter was excellent also. Not as glam as the large chain hotels but makes up with the family service. Fab

10 min walk from main bus and train stations and same to the Leaning Tower and other main sights. Overlooks the river, which is always low not like when in 1966 the town flooded which disastrous results ! A really old original hotel from the hey days of travel. If you have trouble sleeping you need a rear room as the one way traffic passes the hotel . Very helpful staff. Breakfast extra at 5 euros and plenty of it and well worth it as you'd pay that outside in the cafes for a cake and coffee! Guide book say not much worth seeing other than the Tower but we spent 2 days and found lovely restaurants away from the 'tat' ones around the Tower area and we found the streets lines with lovely shops etc. If flying in take the RED bus line directly outside the airport to the city centre (one and half km) 1.50 Euro, tickets last for 75 mins. Change at the Train station to the Green line bus, using the same ticket. This bus takes 3 mins and stops outside the hotel. Or you could walk straight down the main street outside the train station to the hotel. Took us with suitcases 15 minutes. If your flush, take a taxi from the airport !! But hey, the fun when travelling is take the buses. Hotel didn't have have tea/coffee facilities.
