My Dad and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in July 2012 and found it to be perfect for our purposes and in a good location, as well as a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The Hotel Purlilium was a bit out of the way, but was very nice. Our room was very large. The only issue I had was there was a bit of noise from the resturant and hallway in the evenings.
The restuarant attached should not be missed. Perhaps the best meal we had in Italy. My husband really enjoyed watching the chef cook.

Hotel Oliva was great! We were there for five nights and were very pleased. As others have written the staff speak English, which was very helpful when we had some car challenges. (Thank you Sylvia so very much for helping us with dealing with a flat tire on a Friday afternoon!) The morning breakfast was always good and the staff was very diligent in keeping all the foods stocked and the tables cleared. Our room was spotless!
Two areas that could be improved are the shower surround, which if you are a larger person you couldn’t use and our bed, which had the mattress hanging over (larger than) the box spring. These two things are minor and we would definitely recommend Hotel Oliva again.**
** - Everyone has different views of service and quality. My wife and I love the finer things when we travel, but are not interested in paying extreme prices to get it. If a hotel is clean, and the staff is personable then we are generally pleased. We are travelers that give the benefit of the doubt to others and see the glass as always half-full. It is with this perspective that this review was written.

Stayed there for nine days in October to attend the Pordenone Silent Film Festival and used the hotel's freely available bicycle to travel back and forth each day from Prata to Pordenone. Rooms are clean and the breakfast just fine. Two small cautions. Walls and ceilings can be a bit thin, so if you're a light sleeper try to get a top level room (though other guests weren't unusually noisy). Also, I inquired about an iron, but was told to put my ironing out for the hotel staff to press. I didn't, but someone went into the closet and chose which clothes he or she believed needed pressing. They chose the right shirt but also, oddly, a pair of old caprice-style cycling shorts. When I came back the next night, these two items were hanging in the room freshly pressed. When checking out, I was charged for this a significant sum equal to the amount of cleaning AND pressing these items (neither of which I never asked to be done, though the mistake may have resulted from my poor attempts at speaking Italian). Nevertheless, the stay was pleasant, economical, secure, and practical . . . so I really can't complain too much about such a small error, especially given the use I made of their bicycle. Will stay there again.
