We live in Cancun and go to Playa almost once a month. The property we used to go to closed, so have been looking for a new one. We have never wanted to pay the extra money for a beach front property, we are always out all day at the beach. Kinbe has great rooms, very stylish with balcony overlooking the interior of the property with trees and pool. It was also amazing quiet, something you always have to be careful on 5th Ave, since this is in between the beach and 5th, it is perfect. This will be our new go to for Playa del Carmen get aways.

"AWESOME!! Just need different night entertaiment."
Just got back from a wonderful week. We were in the "Privileged" section. Larger than usual rooms, big fluffy towels, nice furniture, etc. Bed was very comfortable with turn down service at night. My day would begin with Awakening the Senses (yoga) at 10 a.m. then a pilates or step class. Then I am ready to start drinking!! LOL The specialty restaurants were all wonderful along with the buffets. The staff was absolutely awesome and some went out of their way to be of assistance or start a conversation!! The beach is beautiful in Maroma Bay. Very picturesque!! Kayaked out close to a mile (?) and you are on the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, Mesoamerican. It starts just south of Isla Mujeres & goes down to the Honduran Bay Islands. It's around 620 miles long. When you reach the reef it is only around 2 ft. deep in places. Simply awesome!! There are pool games every day along with beach activities and bocce ball. Then they would have Zumba or a dance lessons at 5 pm. I wish that they would employ a piano player, band, etc for the lobby in the evening. The only real disappointment was the usual theatre with the employees doing their best to entertain. Over all we had a wonderful experience and would return in a heart beat!

Just stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling around the peninsula. Could have stayed longer. Lovely small hotel consisting of small blocks among the palms and next to the beach. Staff were welcoming, restaurant was good and area made a refreshing change from high-rise blocks of Cancun.

We stayed in August 2014 and had an excellent time. Very safe location across from a park (plaza). Very close, but not too close to the excitement of 10th and 5th avenues and Coco Bongo (we didn't actually go to Coco Bongo, but it's very close if that's your thing). Many excellent eating opportunities very close by. All staff were super friendly and helpful. As well we met some really nice people staying there at the same time. Very short 3 block walk to the beach or just hang out at the pool that was cleaned each evening. We would totally stay at this hotel again.
