Chancellor Hotel is located one-half block from Union Square, by the cable car. Room is small but complete and well-maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. I travelled alone and felt safe and welcomed. Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only, but the bar has good food at dinner time, if you wish to dine "at home. Many restaurants close by. I will be back.

Loved it!! Everything was great! It was our first time visiting San Francisco, so we decided to stay right in the middle of everything. After discovering all these new places, we realized we really enjoyed being by fishermans wharf. Hotel was great though!! Very friendly staff. We got a 1 bedroom suite upgrade simply bc we asked and there's was one available! Will def be back!!!
