We stayed at the HTG for a week at the end of May and it was exactly the retreat we were hoping for. The beach is beautiful, the views from the rooms are gorgeous, and Betty is a wonderful hostess. if you are looking for a quiet place to just get away from it all, this is it.

This hotel's for you if you like a laid-back experience, quiet beaches, walking distance to the great restaurants in Grand Case, and a wonderful on-site restaurant. Watersports are available, as is a lighted tennis court. Rooms have kitchens. A supermarket is 5 minutes away by car. This is a very different experience than the more built-up Dutch side. I went with my wife and my active 28 year-old son and his active wife, and we all loved it. There was enough to do and it was serene when we wanted serene.

My husband and I just returned from a four-night stay at Azure in SXM. This property is absolutely beautiful. You walk out of your room and within 10 steps your feet are on the sand. The view of the Caribbean is stunning - gorgeous turquoise water, sailboats in the distance, absolute peace! The room itself was perfect...comfy king-sized bed, mini fridge, microwave, dining table and chairs, A/C, satellite tv (which we watched very little as the view was tv enough!). The courtyard area was lovely - flowering trees and plants and really cool turtles. The owner (Mike) was very knowledgeable about the island and gave us a list of things to do and places to eat. Very helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azure and are planning a return trip soon. HIGHLY recommended!

"Wonderful hotel close to the beach and fine dining"
This was a vacation for our 25th wedding anniversary - my wife and I wanted a very special time together and our expectations were far exceeded. The Alamanda was wonderful. The check in went very smooth. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. The staff was excellent. The room was very good - comfortable bed, clean, very nice size. The balcony was furnished and an excellent place to relax.
Fine dining was a 2 minute walk away. We ate at 2 of the restaurants - Cote Plages and Le P'tit Bistro. The food was excellent at both. The foie gras at Le P'tit Bistro was incredibly delicious!
The Orient Beach was also a minute walk away. The sand, surf, and water were the most beautiful we have ever seen. The time we spent on the beach together (about 6 hours each day) was awesome! The beach front had restaurants that served lunch and drinks all day. We ate lunch at Andy and Cheryl's. It was very good.
My wife got a pina colada at Kontiki - it was superb!
The atmosphere at the Orient Beach was completely relaxed and chill. People were cool and friendly. Totally hassle free!
The prices for beer, drinks, and food at the Orient Beach restaurants and bars were reasonable.
The vacation was like having the best of France and the Caribbean in one place - a paradise of sensual pleasures and an excellent way for a couple to celebrate their marriage!

We had an excellent experience at this hotel and are likely to return in the future. There is no housekeeping on the days that you were there which was a little surprising, but not a big deal. Otherwise the hotel staff were excellent and very helpful

Had an amazing two night stay pre time share week stay at another resort. But this is very pleasing to your sense's. the views are amazing from the infinity pool. They had free samples of wine and champagne. There are a few bars and restaurant's within walking distance.

Having booked everything online, I was a little concerned about some surprises. Well, the surprises were all positive. The two bedroom two bath fully equipped suite had a beautiful view of the beach. With no street to cross, our assigned chairs and umbrella were waiting for us while we had breakfast at Gingerbread Hut by the pool. A hotel isn't much without people, the staff is very friendly and helpful and Jody's place downstairs is a small convenience store that is very convenient with most of what you would need in a pinch. We were able to do extra curricular activities such as snorkeling and Lorna was more than happy to book it for us.The proximity to the shopping areas is a plus, only a short cab ride away, but we chose to rent a car at a great deal also on the premises. How great is that? Did I mention the complementary daily paper? All in all this was a great vacation in St Maarten and I would definitely return to the Belair Beach Hotel and recommend it to my friends.
