What a warm welcome we received from staff at the hotel. By the end of the stay we were on first name terms. The level of customer service was really high and nothing appeared too much bother. The dog-friendliness of the hotel was amazing and the best by far that we have stayed in with dogs being allowed EVERYWHERE. The food was excellent - both dinner, snacks and breakfast - in fact the welsh rarebit is the best I have ever tasted. There was a good selection of wines available and some nice whiskeys for those who love it.
The rooms were a really good size and the beds were really comfortable. Although there was a boiler problem during our stay, this was sorted out quickly.

We arrived late, after 10.30 PM but we were still able to get something to drink. The room was clean and the view was lovely. The breakfast included in the rate is excellent. The receptionist was very patient when I was checking out as I thought the online site had already taken payment, (which they hadn't,) so needed to call the bank to check before paying the bill...she also checked on line for directions to Aberystwyth for us.
