"One of the best bed and breakfasts in the world."
This was the most incredible experience. The ENTIRE staff was so nice, fun, professional; and great to be around! Even the "cleaning" staff would make sure they saw you everyday and asked if they could do anything for me! EVERYTHING was clean and fresh the entire time. The bed/bedroom was great, the pool was kept clean everyday; and the views everywhere were magnificent. Everyone was so willing to help with whatever you need. I was there on my own, and the rest of the guests along with the staff made me feel like part of the "family"!!! I have recommended the Carringtons Inn to all my friends and when I was downtown Christiansted, I would even recommend it to people I would meet, especially if they complained about the place they were staying. I will ALWAYS stay at the Carringtons Inn, and so will my friends. One more thing...I NEVER eat breakfast, but I did everyday I was there. The food was INCREDIBLE; honestly, the best breakfast I have ever eaten, and a great variety.

This is a very nice, comfortable hotel right on the beach with sunset views. Being able to walk out our door & straight into the ocean for a morning swim or to watch the sunsets across the Caribbean was this hotel's best feature. This kitchen was supplied with what looked like a collection of utensils left by other guests & we added to it by buying a new sharp knife. The kayak available has seen better days as it was missing all its carry straps & was a chore to drag to & from the beach but, it was free & available - they also have bicycles & a library of paperbacks. Maid service in the room was good. They have two "green days" each week without service though fresh towels are always available. My wife & I were very happy with Cottages By The Sea & expect we'd stay again & probably reserve one of the rooms with the better beach view.

I was greeted warmly and they upgraded my room which had a great porch with partial ocean view and the sound of gentle surf.. The room was immaculate and had a fridge, microwave and flat screen tv with little on but you wouldn't want to stay in the room. The beach was long, white, quiet with no seaweed and great for swimming or snorkeling. The restaurant - closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - .wasn't too expensive and the food was excellent. It also served great drinks you could take to the clean pool or adjoining beach. It was very quiet and low key as was nearby Fredericksted which is what I wanted. Glad I had a car. Paddle Boarding place nearby had a great café with the same great sunsets as the hotel every night.

Laura, the manager was very professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, stocked with snacks, several bottles of water and coffee to get us started. They provided beach towels for our use as well as the option to use beach chairs if we needed. The room was large, clean and had magnificent views of the ocean with the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline. Each room has a fabulous, large deck with two lounge chairs and small table. Morning Yoga was never better. The restaurant was fabulous. We ate several meals there and were not disappointed. The hotel is located on a "walking/biking" route which made it wonderful to go for our morning walks. There are several restaurants within walking distance. There is also a small beach, dive and scuba area within walking or short drive from the hotel. You do need a car to get to the center of St. Croix and other areas, but all are easily accessed from this location. We enjoyed this hotel very much and will return again.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We had a wonderful time and are completely satisfied, highly recommended. The full kitchen was well stocked, we prepared our own meals and saved a fortune in meal expenses. Excellent wifi connectivity in the room allowed us to stay connected with friends and family and upload photos to our social networking sites. The pool was beautiful and the beach access was great.

The hotel is great! The staff are frinedly and the boat to and from the hotel is always there when you need to go. The island is idealic and the seeing nature with the pelicans are diving for food and the wind blowing was just beautiful.
